Pitch Me Ideas for the Patreon!
Added 2023-04-01 02:44:12 +0000 UTCHey everyone. This past while has been slow for me, but I think hopefully after this next video comes out I should be able to (actually) increase production again. And in order to help me with that, I want your ideas!
Basically, I want to add more value to this Patreon, and also do more on YouTube in general. So I've been brainstorming stuff I can do to make the Patreon feel more worth it (and give more to the YouTube audience at the same time, if possible)
My current ideas are:
- A monthly Patreon poll where you can pitch/choose one video that I'll make for the main channel that month
- Finally upload shorter, random videos on the second channel (not related to Patreon, just in general)
- A monthly Q&A series answering patron questions (probably posted publicly to the second channel)
- Some sort of more in-depth behind-the-scenes (I might stop doing the timeline posts after every video, and just condense them into something bigger. No concrete ideas yet though)
A big philosophy of mine for Patreon is to not make patron-exclusive main videos or paywall anything major. I never want people who aren't inclined to spend money to miss out on things that could just be publicly available instead. But I do want to add as much value as possible and make sure that people like you generous enough to support me feel like you're getting your money's worth.

I think Q&As or voting on the next vid is a really good way to push your channel forward while staying in your vision of the patreon. The most important step a man can take is the next! I look forward to what you decide, and eventually create :3

I know people that post Patreon-exclusives and basically make it its own subscription service for their stuff, but that wasn't something I wanted to do. But I just want to put more stuff out in general. I've been unmotivated to create, and I think having some form of pressure to make things (i.e. a monthly video series) is a good way to motivate myself. And Patreon just seems like the perfect place to allow that, since it would give added value. I appreciate your comment!

I jumped on when you started it because I appreciate your perspective and I want to see what you can do in the future. I joined up to support the channel but I don't expect anything extra. I'd rather you focus on doing what you want to do rather than trying to make content just to feed the beast. Speaking of which, the behind the scenes idea would probably help out there too. Thanks for all you do!
