Katherine is 100% done in this situation. Though I admire her ability to directly threaten ghosts.

Backstory stuff: So Katherine is named after my brother's (at the time) Girlfriend. She was super nice and when I was younger, really tried to engage me and I really appreciated it. (most of the people in this story are either named after someone I know, or modeled after someone I know.) Katherine is now my brother's wife, and it's always a little awkward having direct people you know's name in here. (the other being Dave, which is the actual name of the priest, but it's literally mentioned once. I have an Uncle Dave who is extremely chicagoan and a joy) 

Katherine as a character is more modeled after my Aunt Pam (Dave's wife) My aunt pam is like...the older generation of where I sit as a black sheep in my family. She and my mom fought a lot, there's a lot of undiagnosed mental illness in my family which her younger lashing out sounds a lot like, but we have this horrible mantra of "getting help is bad" so everyone just kinda fucks up each others day. Anyways, my Aunt Pam and I used to have a lot of fun when I was a kid, she'd take me rollerblading, had a very honest/ blunt, straightforward type of attitude despite she didn't exactly know how to deal with children. But she treated me like a person and I really needed that, especially at that time. I don't see her much nowandays, but she shows basset hounds and there's a good chance if you've a light-colored basset hound in a TV commercial that it's probably her dog.  (or was, i think that dog passed recently). 

Amber is named after a college friend of mine, but I checked to see what she's been up to recently and she's deep into the conspiracy antivax mine deepstate type of thing. Spent 3500 dollars on a vibrating footbath to cure her son's autism, that sort. So uh... less... great with that. Amber as a child is probably modeled after a mix of kids I had to babysit as a wee teen (mostly the vicar's kids, couple highly energetic blonde kids about 5 years old) and probably the closest thing to a self insert. Except for ships it'd be dalmatians. Fuck I was crazy into 101 Dalmatians at that age.
