I hate the plot device where the hero is given a similar choice as the villain and everyone assumes making the same choice will make hero bad. It seems like an easy copout. If the motivation for the act is different, that's what defines the hero and villain, I felt like Adam had a good point about 456s choice. The events that followed could have and probably should have turned out much differently.
