Severance S2E07 Watch A Long

Hey Peaches! OH BOY!!!!!! Here we go, the info we've been waiting for. It's all about Gemma. What was her past with Mark like, and what is her present at Lumon like?

I know this is late, but...Ugh. Every Severance reaction video I've seen completely misinterprets the crib scene, and i dont know why. The comments are always that he's struggling to assemble the crib for some reason.... the whole point of that scene is he is taking APART the crib because they have come to terms that a child isn't coming. He's mourning and upset while he is doing it, she is feeling guilty and feels some of the anger is towards her. And also, the script in the Allentown room echoes what they said to each other before she left the night of the "car crash".

Jay soooo close to telling Adam to stfu and I’m here for it, lol.

The home they filmed all of the scenes of Mark and Gemma’s past was the home Jessica Lee Gagné had rented for Season 2. Makes a lot of sense that it looked so good on camera.

On a weird cinematic note that I saw right from the beginning of season 1 - every single shot has an element of severance. It’s either split down the middle or top to bottom or in thirds either horizontally or vertically. It’s completely intentional. The entire screen is severed in a very clear way in every single shot.

Watching you go through this is incredible, and I’m catching so much more each time I watch. As hard as it is, each watch is so so amazing and moving and gives so much more because you catch so much more. The intentionality of this show is stunning. This episode is so heart wrenching and yet another piece of television that will be ranked as one of the most incredible moments in tv history. This show… this cast…. Every single moment, every single performance, every piece of cinematography, every composition, every line is intentional, difficult, nuanced, and filled with meaning. And it’s FUNNY. Along with being sad and impactful and full of commentary and rage and righteous message.
