Rings of Power S2E07 Watch A Long

Hey Peaches! The battle for Eregion is here. How will Adar storm the city? What will Sauron do to Celebrimbor? Can Elrond make it in time? And what cool LotR action will we see? Strap in, this one is a doozy.

This was the first episode I didn't genuinely love. So many weird choices, the dwarf army recall for 1 crazy dude with an axe, giving more attention to the death of some COMPLETELY RANDOM elf that half exploded a wall buster that still ended up working than one of the like 6 actually main characters, Elrond bringing the ring for whatever reason, and celebrimbor continuing to finish the rings after realizing. Also, there is way too much to be crammed into the last episode. Gandalf gets his stick, random dark wizard has something happen to him, (why is he a thing) Hobbits have to actually do something useful, fall of numenor, or maybe that's next season since sauron hasn't been there to influence anything, fall of erregion, fall of kazhad-dum, elrond gets out of his emo phase, sauron gets the rings, adar dies, overthrower numenorean guy dies, because if he usurps her a second time next season I'm done, and whatever the hell was going on with the ent-wife, and the depressing kid. Wtf is going on man 😭

I’m enjoying the show more this season, despite the lore being fucked. But I feel like you two should call it good after this season. Adam clearly hates the show and Jay isn’t into it as evidenced by how much he talks over huge chunks of the show. I just don’t think it’s for you. If you need it for the engagement i get it, but it’s just obvious you’re not into it at all

There's too many story lines for Season 2 to feel like it has a good conclusion, if anything it will likely line up or project forward in to Season 3 now that the rings are made. There's still a lot of scenes from the trailer that we haven't yet seen, although they could have been deleted scenes. Adar needs to die so that Sauron can get his army, I think Sauron will catch up to Galadriel next episode, and I wouldn't be sad if we didn't see any more of the Harfoots by the end of this Season. It just seems a lot to pack in to one final episode, a rush if it's a 1 hour episode, but if it was an 1 hour, 20 or 30, then perhaps more manageable. I'm glad that the Dwarves didn't show up, it would have made the battle too predictable that they were all going to be saved with reinforcements - all for a battle which we all already know ends with Sauron winning.
