Rings of Power S2E03 Watch A Long

Hey Peaches! Remember Nuemenor? We sure don't. But the story shifts over the political ramifications from the events of last season. Meanwhile Isildur is wandering around an evil forest after he survived the fire last season. Oh, and he has an awesome horse. Oh and the Dwarven rings are starting to be made.

I truly cannot wait for what will happen to numenor 😂 One of my favorite things Tolkein wrote about man, and I really wonder if any current characters are going to become the mouth, and the other limbs, of Sauron.

Fr dude, I was just chanting by myself, "please talk, please talk, please talk!" 😅

She died off screen. The actress declined to return to focus on advocacy for women’s rights in Iran. She’s won a few humanitarian awards

Yeah the battle that causes the dead marshes from the LOTR hasn’t happened yet at this point. Isildur was done a bit dirty by the Jackson movies. But they also made him look better against Sauron too. The lore in this show is such a mess and so wrong I’ve tried to stop thinking about it

It really annoyed me when the eagles didn't talk in The Hobbit movies.

"Waitin' for some Elven backflips" YOUR WISH IS GRANTED JAY and he's gonna do a spinny thing too

My undergrad degree is French language and lit. I spent so much time on troubadours—because that’s where the word originates—to the point where my first inclination is to pronounce it the French way and not English. This is not the only word that does this to me. It makes me stop when I talking to make sure I say things the right way lol

So Jay and Adam, your highfalutin English lesson incoming; A Haberdasher isn't the word for a hat maker either, that would be a Milliner ;-)

Lore Dump 3/8: The swamp Isildur passes is most likely not the swamp Frodo, Sam, and Gollum go through. In the books, that doesn’t exist yet. Isildur is a hero in the books, but falls to the Ring in the same way Boromir does. Hopefully we see his heroics in the rest of the show. I wish the eagles in the films/show talked like they do in the books. It would keep misunderstandings like this from happening.

The craziest part of them using such a long, lazy intro is they have one of the most famous maps in literary history to show the positions and distances of everything à la Game of Thrones. I guess they thought people would call them out for imitating GoT and decided random sand and stones were better?
