Acolyte S1E06 Watch A Long

Hey Peaches! It's the fallout from the massive fight last episode. What is Mae trying to do with Sol? What's Qimir's plan for Osha? Can Sol contact the Jedi? What's actually going on with Master Vestra? Will anything be answered this episode?
Seeing the other comments about Vernestra being the Master that "threw away" Qimir fills me with dread, because it feels like the kind of low effort thing they would hit us with.
I hold out hope that there is a bigger twist coming for Qimir. I can't remember if "stasis pod" type technology has been established in the SW universe, but I keep hoping that Qimir is an ancient Sith whose been in cryo for a thousand years. He describes himself as having been a Jedi "a long time ago" which, OK, could just mean he left the order 20 years ago. He describes himself as a Sith, but as an institution, the Jedi believe that the Sith were wiped out a thousand years ago. If Qimir was simply expelled from the order and fell to the dark side, there's no reason he'd call himself Sith, because not all Dark Jedi are Sith.
Qimir also says he is "seeking the power of two". I don't think it's crazy to think he's describing the Rule of Two. Yoda knew about The Rule at the end of Phantom Menace ("Always two there are..."), but I can't imagine that little bit of Sith history is taught to all younglings at The Temple. I suppose it's possible that Qimir was recruited by the Sith Master of the current timeframe, but that would mean there is some unintroduced Sith Master floating around somewhere.
I guess anything is possible with some of the disjointed writing we've gotten from SW lately, but I remain hopeful that this isn't some Sith story they're trying to shoehorn in to the canon so close to the Skywalker era...

There still a whole sequence that we're going to revisit from Episode 3 that is upcoming, without spoiling anything - there are dozens of scenes in clips & trailers that we haven't yet seen. I think the staging for this series is 'Mystery', every episode doesn't really end on an ending, and I feel it would have been edited better if put together in movie format. Qimir is absolutely trying to corrupt Osha, as to the extent of this though, whether he is successful is another matter all together. The showrunner hinted toward a corrupted love affair between the two characters, it is twisted and corrupt because Qimir killed Osha's friends, but that is what Sith do. Qimir will use that loss, the pain and emotion to construct a twisted relationship of Master & Apprentice. Qimir will probably unlock or untame Osha's power with the force by teaching her the ways of the Dark Side. Osha has already shared with Qimir that she failed the Jedi, but on what grounds? The same can be said for Qimir who was supposedly let go by his Jedi Master, for whatever reason. The scar on his back looks almost like a whip mark, so put 2+2 together with that etc. They already have a shared history making them somewhat relatable for the fact that they both failed the Jedi.
All in all, I think this is all going to tie back in to whatever happened back in Episode 3, Sol still hasn't revealed what actually happened, and while it feels like we're being strung along - there's 2 episodes left for them to show us. If it was so bad that Qimir killed Kelnacca and also for Mae to kill Indara, then Torbin to commit suicide - it must be super bad. Sol wanting to tell the High Council 'everything', although choosing to Hyperspace out of there and turn his transponder off, it seems like the situation from Episode 3 was a major f*ck up either way. Because he didn't even tell Master Vernestra. The Jedi are the real bad guys here, because they trained and brainwashed Osha in to believing that everyone died in a fire. There STILL so much that we don't know about what happened in Episode 3, I'll keep saying this until we see it. I feel that every other episode will make considerable more sense until we see that.

I saw a comment somewhere that Qimir's scars look like they were made by a whip. If that's true that probably means Vernestra (Bald Green Jedi Lady) was his old master who "threw him away." And that would be really interesting except for the fact that I no longer care about any of these characters. This series is frustrating.

I'm wondering if Vernestra Rwoh's padawan was Qimir. I also wonder if he is responsible for the death of Mae/Osha's family. If the show could just freakin' let Sol tell what he knows so we can move on! I'm sure there is more story telling besides what he knows. Sigh. I'm sticking it out. I'm here with you for this ride. P.S The look on Adam's face on this thumbnail pretty much shows how I feel. Meh. But I am a Star Wars Fansand I am here with you for this ride. I am waiting for the show to say "BAM!" and I will be glad I hung on until the end.

Can't say I disagree with any of your points. Mystery shows should build on mysteries and answer questions but then pose two further ones. The Acolyte seems content with sticking to the same mysteries but just stringing them along. And the biggest problem is Mae/Osha, who's at the center of everything and... aren't very interesting. I'm worried the next episode will be entirely flashback and then the next episode will be entirely setup for Season 2, much like how Ahsoka ended.
