Andor S1E12 Watch Along

Hey Peaches! It's finally finale time. Thank you for your patience as we got back from the Thanksgiving break. What a finale! Everything leads back to where it all began, on Ferrix. We've got Spamilton's audio book. We've got snitches. We've got those snitches getting stitches. We've got vengeance! We've got death bricks. We've got sparks that light the flame. We've got wake up calls. We've got close calls. And most importantly, we've got a hankering for Season 2 RIGHT NOW!

This was the sleeper hit of the year. What a great show. Hopefully now that it's all bingiable more people will discover its greatness. Thank you for being on this emotional roller coaster with us.

Mentioning DS9, you should try Babylon 5. It’s also ahead of its time in complex stories, politics etc. Very very good.

Cassian was building the very thing that will kill him later... Geez wow!!

I'm so glad y'all enjoyed this show. I just wish more people would give this a chance. People would be pleasantly surprised.

I think you should celebrate Thanksgiving when we do in Canada, the second Monday of October. Far enough away from December that it doesn't feel too soon unlike the US end of November is way too close to December.

Also from what they've said season 2 is it. Gilroy has said he wants to end it on Cassian going to meet the contact he learns about the Death Star from at the start of Rogue One. Think they said it'll be a series of 3 episode arcs with each arc covering time during a year leading to Rogue One.

I love this show and I loved that this entire episode was just systematically displaying the things Nemik said in his manifesto passage. The Imperial garrison (and later Death Star) feels overwhelming, unstoppable. The people of Ferrix form an entire battalion that do not realize they'd already enlisted and their efforts, even though small and ultimately doomed, push the cause forward. If for no other reason that it further drives Cassian into the cause. And finally, the entire Imperial reaction that spawns it and makes it as bad as it is is driven by fear! They're oppression in the name of fear of what Maarva said kicks off the riot and them wanting to make a show of force out of fear makes the kid's bomb DRAMATICALLY more effective by putting all their ammo and explosives in a spot he could set them off with his bomb. Their authority was brittle, a veneer. Man I love this show.
