The Rings of Power S1E03 Watch Along

Hey Peaches!!  We're in the finally stages of catching up! When last we left our Middle Earth crew we were left with many questions. Who saved Giladriel? Who took our new elf friend? Who's the dude that fell from the sky? What was in the dwarves' box? We get some cool answers this episode which of course leads to more questions.

I am so glad you are watching this show. I think that you guys should rewatch the OG movies though lol. many name drops and places are a a big deal but you guys are not picking up on them. I am not complaining or anything its just a suggestion. You might see the path of the show better to have a refresh. I know you have a lot to watch so don't feel bad but maybe before season 2 you should give your brains a refresh. I did and it helped me enjoy the show so much better. Loving the reactions! Im happy to finally be a patron. :) Thanks for all the hard work

I love that you enjoyed the horse back riding scene. For some reason, the internet hated it, and i didn't understand why. I am with you there: It showed that Galadriel truely longs for peace and a time when she knew no worries. She fights because she has to, not because she wants to.

Loved Adam's "wait...why is isildur ringing bells..." at the end of the episode! For some context, Isildur and Elendil are aragorn's direct ancestors, and Isildur is the one who took up Elendil's broken sword to cut the ring but didn't destroy it and then doomed his line in the process...until Aragorn redeems it. In LOTR movies/books, they refer to aragorn's people, the Dunedain, as the last descendants of Numenor: the greatest civilization of Men, who's first king was Elros (Elrond's brother who chooses to be mortal). *events happen* that lead to Elendil and Isildur escaping to middle earth and founding the kingdoms of Gondor and also Arnor (the defunct northern kingdom; we see some of the ruins in Fellowship when they pass the Argonath) which is why the architecture is similar, credit the production team for adapting Peter Jackson's styles so well! Elendil's exaggerated "home" dialogue and the entrance to numenor took their time because they were a little bit of fan service for the lost kingdom we never thought we'd see. Hope this provides some context, your reactions are always fun to watch!
