It's been two years since the events of eps 2 and things have gotten worse, mostly, for our heir apparents. Deamon's war in the Stepstones is not going well, and Rhaenyra feels like she's being replaced by her new half brother. And then one of the coolest battle scenes we've ever witnessed happens. This episode is fantastic.

She was in more danger than Viserys of course, however she did put herself in danger by attempting running off alone. The only reason she didn't die is because Ser Criston followed her. He did all the heavy lifting, just like the hunters did all of the heavy lifting for Viserys I'm all for a cool character when its done correctly (example: GOT season 3 episode 4) But I'm not a fan when they do it with a lead up that ultimately undermines said moment. Why would the use of "#girlboss" make my opinion any less valid than your own? Only moody teenage girls use the hashtag and she is a moody teenage girl.

If you think about it she didn't do any more to kill the boar than Viserys did to kill the stag, she's just arrogant enough to think she did. I hope that was the intent and they didn't just do it to have a #girlboss moment. In the second episode I immediately thought the solution was clear, have Rhaenyra marry the Seasnakes son. I'm glad they at least brought it up even if it was 2 years too late.
