The Legend of Vox Machina S1E10 Watch Along

Hey Peaches!! We're in the final stretch. Percy confronts one of his past tormentors and would like to kill her outright, but the rest of Vox Machina stays his hand. And then they find out that Percy has a dark passenger. Yeah, this episode has it all: twists, turns, skinny dipping, rats, skeletons, family squabbles, Jinchūriki, betrayals, teamwork, and, friendship. I hope you found all the health potions and hit the save point, cause the boss battle is next.

Long after this, but I'd totally play in a campaign where spell slots were like consumables/difficult to recover. I've been planning on maybe a "Longer resting" alternate rules for that game. Where a Short rest is an entire day and a Long rest is a week. There are problems that have to be worked out with that style of game but could be pretty good imo

The Force

The Oxford Comma joke, Adam's enthusiasm for Pepperbox's soul-hunger, and the Blindspot joke within the running gag about the cast in the audience- really enjoyed the start of this one. Adam's reaction to Pike's divination was also great, and I loved watching Jay get emotional at that scene on Scanlan's Hand.

Seeing Jay tear up and notice the small character moments that play into the Campaign 1 grander character arcs really reinforces my love of these stories.

I haven't watched/listened to Critical Role before. I found the first two episodes fun but a bit... it felt like juveniles trying too hard to be outrageous. Fun, but... eh. But every episode has gotten better. Step by step. LOVING this series.

That's kind of the central tension of rest mechanism. And I sometimes find it... bothersome, because it becomes a meta argument about pacing. In The Dying Earth, the main origin point of D&D (particularly magic), you ended up having a small number of spells for the ENTIRE journey. I sometimes consider a system like that... (And I highly recommend the books to any gamers out there, it's wild and imaginative fantasy with a bit of a scifi element)

In these moments the players would often ask Matt about a short rest and he would remind them that if they rest the bad guys have time to do their thing.

In the game the area was lined with copper and glass or something. Matt looked into what acid couldnt eat through.

NO fucking way. Travis is likely in my top 3 from the group... good shot at number 1. He is such a supportive player and is such a dad. He is so aware of everyone else and what is going on in their stories. Like a dad involved in his children's life. He knows when to be support and he knows when to push. No spoilers but Ill always remember one of my favorite moments was kicked off when shit was about to hit the fan and the entire group was stuttering over plans and Travis says "okay fuck this you are all in analysis paralysis" and just fucking does the thing. They are all my heroes but Travis is a fucking G.
