It's another uncut Heartstopper episode! Enjoy

HEARTSTOPPER S2 EP 6 - UNCUT

Comments

We can learn a lot from these young people xx

Gina Lipkin

Gay Paris Love is in the Air, glad there is so much joy to share and it's bought your reactions coming out reactions too, keep doing you

Gina Lipkin

“Farouk me daddy” and “Straight to bitties” - you two had me howling 😂😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️❤️

Reem

Someone commented on this on YouTube. They show a great way of listening to your partner, noticing body language etc and asking for consent.

Reem

THANK YOU 🙏🏼 GOD FOR COURAGE JUICE!!!! 🍷🍷

Gavin Best

I SO LOST IT when Alex swerved immediately from a Tara/Darcy 👑 🤡 confiding, kind, educational moment… to a Ajayi/Farouk THAT’S WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT!!!! moment! 🍷🧔🏿‍♂️❤️‍🔥🧔🏻‍♂️🍷 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Gavin Best

why am i just now realizing that re"char"ging is also a pun

b

@21:33 THANK YOU! 🥳 Finally someone agrees with me. 😂

Lauren Mac

I think your comments regarding heterosexual sex are spot on tbh, especially in younger people because you're navigating both your sexuality and physical sex. I also think queer sex is much more nuanced and not just about one thing...

Jennifer Fell

How many times do you have to kiss before they can "come around for.... bolognese?" 😂😂😂😂😂 That was a classic comment 👌 👏

Jennifer Fell

ngl, i kinda want a 'farouk me daddy' tshirt as part of your merch 😂

ser brienne

Just to explain the sleeping with clothes on. In the comics people were told it was a pyjama party so that's what they were wearing ;)

The Wanton Dogfish

“Miss out hickies, straight to bitties” is another classic 😂

Suze

otoh, Harry's party is where Charlie and Nick had their first kiss, and where Tara and Darcy kissed and danced. Thought it was a bit harsh to slam the door in his apologetic face. otooh, he did call Charlie the f-word.

USAZ

You know, rewatching this, I really love the part where Charlie just says no to Harry. Sure it could have been a bridge building moment but it felt like one of those times when the majority culture person (who is normally making minority culture people feel less than or outcast) suddenly finds the minority culture people cool and fun, and just expect to be let in to enjoy the fun. No! We built this fun, joyful, safe space ourselves - IN SPITE OF YOU- and you don't get a free pass in just because you realized what a jerk you were being.

Adrienne Gosselin

Alex it's MR AJAYI ffs 🤣 Also the "coming round for bolognese" comment KILLED ME

Mildred Locke

😂 Alone the first few seconds made the subscription worth every fcking penny 😂🫶🏼 I just love you guys and your reactions!!!!

Adriana

Ready for the last 2

Wildallie Diaz

Haha yeah he does look a bit like him in the comics actually 😂😂

David Watt

To be fair, the comic version of Mr. Ajayi does look quite a lot like Richard Ayoade. I laughed every time this has happened during their reactions this season.

Kate Kolpan

"Pauses. Puts on super pedantic glasses." As to your question mark, Stephane's surname is Fournier. Sarah had the boys take her maiden name after the divorce, which explains why they don't have his French surname, hence the wonderfully alliterative Nick Nelson, all around great human, boyfriend and living embodiment of a golden retriever.

Kate Kolpan

Fun fact. The wheres wally scene when the boys talk about Tao kissing Elle is technically all a blooper that they put in. Joe has said in an interview that they were all extremely tired bc they where filming all day and it was late at night so they where like giggly and stuff and it took them for ever to film it so in the end they just decided to use the best one out of all of them for it edit: something I just realized when rewatching (don't judge) was Nick and Charlies shoes when they are outside on the balcony at the party. They are highlighted in that one shot and they are the exact same shoes as the ones on the back of the first book. I never realized that until now. The attention to detail from the props and costume department is insane. Also the reasoning for Ben at the party. No one there knows what he did to Charlie. Only him, Nick, and Charlie know what happened. And he's never once been like out worldly homophobic to anyone who's gay there. So like I get why he's at the party but also I still think he shouldn't be there. Be ready for the last 2 episodes. I cried at them soooo maybe have tissues on stand by. Also sorry this comment is so long and I keep adding to it I just wanna share my experience. Heterosexual relationships I feel tend to go quicker in the sexual aspect I was probably in 5th grade when I got my first boyfriend who wasn't really my boyfriendand I was "dating" him because I hadn't figured out my sexuality yet well technically he's what made me realize I wasn't straight but even then when I was 11-12 he was still trying to rush things in our relationship and that's why I broke it off because of that. I didn't kiss anyone or do anything really more then hand holding till I was 14-15. queer relationships take things slower I feel. And that's amazing it works for me and other people but heterosexual relationships tend to go straight to sex right away instead of waiting till your more mature and know what you want from a relationship.

Makayla Hall

'Farouk me, daddy', was perhaps the best line of this episode 😂 I'd cook bolognese for Alex any day of the week 😜😘

Andrew W

I always enjoy these reactions! Love your points of view, plus the one-liners and comments have me laughing hysterically! You guys always make the day a little better! Side note: The outfits that Nick & Charlie are wearing at the beginning of the episode actually match the cover of Volume 3 of the graphic novel, I love those little continuity details between the series and the books.

Chuck Brorman

THIS ^^

Adrienne Gosselin

With the inclusion of Josh‘s reactions 😂

Frances

Alex, I gotta say: your one-liners are iconic!!!!!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 cracks me up every time 🤣🤣🤣

Frances

"FAROUK ME DADDY!" hahaha. classic!

LM-Entertainment Australia

I think that the sex education in most schools skews towards heteronormative intercourse, so in this episode (and in Red, White and Royal Blue) it can also go some way to explaining why a queer person’s “first time” (which obviously didn’t happen here in HS) can feel scarier/more anxiety-provoking as you can know the theoretical “mechanics” of the encounter, but it is more of a case of who does what, and what might I ultimately find the most satisfying? In first-time heterosexual encounters, each partner goes into it kind of knowing who will be doing what, even if there is a lot of fumbling and uncertainty. Schools should go more into the mechanics of queer intercourse in my opinion. Perhaps I’m showing my age, but it was definitely ALL heterosexual intimacy covered when I was in school.

Sam S

Honestly Farouk me daddy my new favourite catch phrase from you guys

indigo

Absolutely loving your reactions. And i really loved that you pick up on things that mean a lot to me, like the recharging part. They've all done such an incredible job this season but for me Joe Locke is the stand out. Some amazing scenes coming up with him. Must admit to finishing the season in tears saying give him all the awards ever. But thanks for making it so much fun watching with you two.

Sue Porter

I knew how happy Alex would be for this episode 🤣 so much representation in this episode ❤️ I'm interested to see your reaction to a specific part in the next episode. I believe it played out exactly how it should and happy it did but was still an emotional scene.

Cathy Mills

Half of me watching y’all’s reaction is me laughing at the faces Josh makes when Alex says something outrageous haha! But on a more serious note, I appreciate that this series does give a different perspective to sexual progression in teen relationships then was is currently in media. Most teens are not having sex at 16 a lá Riverdale, Euphoria, Pretty Little Liars, etc. I hope it introduces the conversation of taking your time and checking in with yourself and your partner. I also love that the discussion was between two cis guys because I think oftentimes a lot of the pressure to have sex in high school is put on young guys which can make them more aggressive to get it done. I am not saying they don’t have agency, but rather, the motivation is skewed.

Daylet

been waiting for this!

charlie

“Giving hickies and sucking neck” sent me to the moon 😂

pawntksqueen

Bonjour x. Enjoyed your reaction to this episode. I'm actually enjoying all of your reactions. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to the next episode.

Lucky Charm

Someone had also mentioned that Mr. Ajayi was wearing Mr. Farouk s shirt on the bus. They say it was the first shirt Mr. Farouk hung up when they first got to the hotel room.

L Archibald

"Ça va ?" - Très bien!! Really sweet episode, a lot of self-discovery, and pretty much everyone is moving forward in one way or another. I can't relate in any way with Isaac but I'd imagine that this phase is necessary for him to get to know himself better on his own, even tho it's very sad. Your reaction to the teachers was priceless :P

Arkeran

Well said!! I love their reactions. They are hilarious to watch. I was choking on my drink to keep from spitting it all over my monitor at one point. 😂

Joe Lancaster

Great episode Alex and Josh! There was a lot going on for sure! Thanks

Diane Furlong

I think this may possibly be my most favourite episode of the entire series. It had everything. Though Isaac may be feeling a bit down at the moment, I think the kiss with James ultimately will help him sort some things out within himself. Nick coming out was perfect (until Darcy was sick on Mr. Ajayi's bed). Mr. Ajayi, and Mr. Farouk did NOT stop at the neck. They very well may have gone all the way to the toes. We don't know what they're into! Then finally, Charlie and Nick being able to sleep together in the same bed, but having a conversation about what they're comfortable with at this stage of their relationship. All very mature and lovely.

Chris Metzger

Oh my Guys I hit play and surprise!!! That may have been a little TMI 😂😂😂😂

Diane Furlong

yeah there are so many complaints from people who don't like heartstopper (for silly reasons) and say it isn't realistic bc nick and charlie aren't immediately having sex or doing any type of bits, but there is honestly so much of that already in YA gay shows (wilhelm/simon having sex immediately after their SECOND kiss in young royals (sidenote: i still think they haven't even had sex yet and have only done hand/mouth stuff!) or ian/mickey having sex the first time they even touched) so it's nice to see a show that can be just two boys who like to make out a lot and who will eventually have sex lmao it's not like they're waiting until marriage but they don't have to be having sex at FIFTEEEN/SIXTEEN like charlie was literally 14 years old two months prior. idk whenever i see people complain about it i always have to question WHY exactly they're so desperate to see a fifteen year old have sex so bad? like let's talk about that. (by the way this isn't in reference to their reaction, i actually loved how they said it's completely okay to not doing anything! but more so people i have seen online who complain about it)

k8ie

I’m so glad you guys appreciated the “I’m recharging” moment… I think it’s one of the sweetest things you can say to your SO

Eirini

You two bring so much light and laughter into my world. Thank you, boys.

Bryan Sutton

Watching your reaction is my favorite moment of the Day. Thank you 🤩

Marion Susini

The team behind producing and presenting the series version of HS deserve a lot of credit for staying so true to the original graphic novel. I mean, yes, characters have been removed and swapped out, but the story is true to the books, with very few changes. It is mainly because Alice is still front and center guiding the ship. It makes me think that even though I thought the book version of Red, White, and Royal Blue was garbage and the movie version was, "Meh". Had they made it into a limited series like HS, it would have been so much more enjoyable. For me, anyway. I know a lot of people love RWRB.

Mike

The teacher storyline already was one of my fave things in the comic. And I absolutely loved how the vending machine scene translated to the screen.

BexFangirl

I don’t want season 2 to be over, because it’s so good but also because your reactions are so much fun. Alex’s testicle, Mr Farouk provoking some of the best facial expressions yet for Alex, Josh (mostly) attempting to be sensible, and both of you practically melting with appreciation of Nick and Charlie’s chemistry and communication. I enjoyed every minute, so thanks for another great reaction. 🥰 Almost everyone is happy. What could possibly go wrong…well, guys, I think you might need tissues before long.

Graham & Ruth May

Lucky they could have a party at the hotel without complains for being too loud. I feel Isaac just felt a bit left out, because he was siting there by himself, while the others were busy, and when they were all together, he couldn't contribute much to the conversation, because he didn't have those experiences. Understandably he felt a bit weird, when James kissed him, if he thought, he was ment to feel a certain way but didn't. It can be just not the right person/right time, or you just don't get those kind of feelings at all. Don't feel pressured/weird just because others are in relationships etc, if you just feel fine by yourself, nothing wrong with that. You get there, if you get there. Its so nice to see Isaac slowly figuring himself out.

Sara Nissen

Another lovely recap! The chemistry between the two leads is amazing! Joe Locke shines this season!

D

Best way to start my morning while pretending to work at my desk. Thank god for earbuds!

Steve Marshall

The thing I just love about Heartstopper (and one reason I feel it sets itself apart in queer media) is that it's giving a younger queer generation an ever-expanding vocabulary with which to help them navigate relationships, friendships, family, coming out, and mental health.

Jared

Another great one, thanks guys. I laughed sooo much xx

steve johnson

Woohoo I’ll be watching this when I get home from work tonight

Diane Furlong

I always know your reactions will make me laugh, and yet I still choose to watch it at work. I'm pretty sure some of our patrons think I'm crazy.

Remi Day

lol it’s Mr Ajayi - not Mr Ayowade… that’s someone else completely! 😂😂

David Watt

I love it and my daily dose of ASWT.

Mandy

She was temporarily blinded by his French accent.

Randy Parker

Now. Now Alex! It is NOT bad TV to have Nick & Charlie slow down in the bed, talk about consent, and where they both are in terms of exploration expectations 😏

Michael D

More like besties, to acquaintances, to lovers 😉

Michael D

still stands that she could do better. he is an ass

Rosie Dickinson

This was amazing! Thanks! Now I'm off to watch it again on Youtube😂

Faye Helen

Finally!! 🙌🏻 I was sooo looking forward to your reactions to this episode in particular!! Perfection!

Sam S

Yeahhh, Thanks guys!!!! I've been waiting for this :)

Silme Elen

I'm somewhat sure Olivia Coleman didn't sleep with that Thibault De Montalembert. Sarah Nelson slept with Stephan Nelson(?).

Randy Parker

the besties to enemies to lovers of it all…

k8ie

Did anyone else catch Imogen snuggling with Sahar 👀

Maya Wylie

10 seconds in and the current lesson is that Alex should not wear his daisy duke shorts in front of Josh. #teabaggage

Mike

Sweet 😍 have been waiting for this

MrsSandyG

So glad I joined 🙌 love your reactions 😊

Joshy B

Ah... the teachers! 😇 Thanks! Exactly what we needed to make this day better 😘

Stian Kristoffersen

just clicked to play this and went to close down the other tab I had open and just heard 'Did I see testicle'...so glad you didn't cut that exchange

Rosie Dickinson

My god I love being a Patron! The first 20 seconds of this is amazing! Hahahahaha!
