2023-08-16 12:38:31 +0000 UTCI love this film so much. It’s such a good adaptation!! The director and author both said it has the feel of the book and in some ways it’s exactly the same. But also at the same time it’s very different (kinda like siblings) It’s never suppose to be identical as it never works in adaptations! In interviews, he explained his reasoning for removing scenes/characters and also blending scenes/ characters. It actually works! Books are always going to be more detail/ have more time for the story. But as adaptations go (along with heartstopper). It’s pretty much up there!!
