End of August Update!

Hello loyal fans and sub(scribers)!

Summer is coming to an end. It's great for my work-life balance and terrible for my plants. I'm still going to call that a W though. I've promised my plants that I'll water them more diligently next year.

Hello loyal fans and subscribers! I'm Depression Deity and here is my August update for my visual novel, Doting Dominatrix: Serenity in Surrender.

The first thing you'll notice is that I've changed the name of my game. Eventually, Serenity in Surrender will be the official title. I was tired of social media flagging the title of my game as a bad word and I also want to emphasize that my game is a love story. A love story that's more appropriate for spicy booktok, but still a love story.

I'm currently working on chapter 3. The actual writing is done, but I'm still programming the chapter and waiting for art assets. I do want to apologize for how long this chapter is taking. My original character artist is going through some personal stuff and isn't able to keep up with the workload. I've hired a second character artist, so development is continuing at a good pace now. In the meantime, I hope you are looking forward to seeing everything together in an upcoming release!

I also want to show off that I've optimized my buttons! Yeah! This is pretty embarrassing to say, but these buttons were originally sprite swaps. I'm now using Unity's Animator and that allows me to delete so many extra files. Isn't that great?
