So a good follow-up to the Boondocks would be Black Dynamite I feel like a good amount of the talented people that worked on Boondocks went on to work on that show don't think you really need to watch the movie to appreciate it but it also doesn't really hurt

2025-09-20 16:51:34 +0000 UTCSo the beef between Aaron McGruder and BET started cuz Aaron is basically Huey Freeman all the views that Huey shares in the show is a reflection of Aaron’s and he felt BET was showing the worst of Black people and the Reggie character is supposed to be Reginald Hudlin who ironically was a producer of S1 of the Boondocks but was president of BET from 2002 to 2008 so Aaron blamed Hudlin for showing the stereotypes of black americans with BET so he made these episodes criticizing BET and said episodes were banned cuz Viacom/Sony threaten to sue Cartoon Network/WB if they aired the episodes which is why it’s only available on the dvd when the topic of season 4 comes up I’ll explain that one in detail as to why it’s the weakest season and you should just skip it
