"RECKONING" Important Update
Added 2025-02-08 03:56:41 +0000 UTCReddit officially will not be receiving the rest of the comic on either r/comics or my profile. This is a direct result of the scrutiny of admins and overly cautious moderation of the team on r/comics. No shade to the mod team, I get it. But this will be the first major Hollering Elk comic that is apparently too much for the platform to handle.
I have chosen to adapt a majority of the original script and release the remainder of the comic for Patreon, Facebook, and Bluesky. Thank you guys so much for your support, and I hope you like the pages to come. I am sick of having to rewrite and modify this comic to appease Mr. Musk and the admins.
I have not contacted the moderators or announced this for reddit users, and do not plan to. This one's on me.
Thanks again, and let's have fun with an authentic, tactfully written Hollering Elk KOMIK.

He's a fragile, ego fueled snowflake manchild with a lot of 'power'. But him responding means he internalized an insult and it hurt his feelings. So if it brings him some measure of discomfort, then it worked. I don't advocate for violence against an individual, but public ridicule for a public figure who is clearly a bad actor and who wishes harm on others? Totally warranted and appropriate. While large comics and roll outs on reddit do contribute to a great deal of my income, I'm comfortable finishing this one out without making a spectacle of it there. I won't burn bridges with the team, but I've lost a lot of respect for the folks running the show there overall, and will feel less inclined to prioritize reddit at the same level I have Patreon.

He could make things difficult and bog down reddit's own moneymaking through backroom deals and frivolous lawsuits. Remember that everything is owned and exists to make money, and if Musk goes around rattling sabers, it might affect pennies on the dollar to the conglomerates that a) are invested in reddit, or b) earn from advertising on reddit. Musk has also gone to show his fragility cannot handle any sort of criticism and he has a disproportionate response when it comes his way. He will absolutely go out of his way to make waves if his ego is scuffed.
