I wish I could see their faces when they come to realize I did not in fact blow the budget on Page 2.

I love your artsyle and the direction things seem to be going (from the story that I can see). Can't wait to see everything!

Aaaaw, love that interpretation. Ellie and trees go together like lightning and thunder. Always on the hunt for a good tree to climb. And I think I wrote out a long ass thing somewhere around here about the subject of Ellie's durability against the "exterminators" and whoever else feels they have what it takes to take her on. She's considered the most lethal and disruptive of the coven, and the most difficult to track down or harm. There's no clear method of attacking her, and it's difficult to test, because as a general rule, she avoids combat or physical conflict of any kind and strictly prefers ambushing prey to circumvent a struggle. "The Incident" would have been an exception, the exterminator having targeted the Velluto Quartet violist, a long time family friend of Ellie and Eli. She will run (or skitter) away at any sign of a threat, but has the ability to wipe out a large chunk of the city's population in a single night. Luckily she is persistently preoccupied with playing, bonding, and canoodling with humans rather than slaughtering them for fun. That and climbing trees and playing cello, haha.

Ellie perched in the tree seems to be the full opposite of the "brooding superhero looking out over the city" trope. This also begs the question: what WOULD it take to put down one of her kind?
