AHS VOL 2. - Page 27

When in doubt, it is not out of place to give a clear and harsh warning.

Gaby was able to sleep under a roof at the end of the day, but tomorrow she will have to solve her problem and turn to her friends.

This reminds me of a friend of mine, that I used to program for, who once argued with me over what my code(which I wrote from scratch) did. He was absolutely wrong.

Please Pick the Bear then. Don’t complain after why men stopped helping. If men were as bad as you pretend in your fantasy there would literally be no civilization as we speak. If you want to play this game. Pick a weaker debater. 10/10 you lose this argument before you even started it

NetVoke

Between trusting a man you don't know, and a bear, the bear is the option 9/10 women pick. Because bears don't pretend to be nice and then maul you when your back is turned

I get it. It’s just people also use comics as example of what it might be a good way to respond in that. We all use references from movies/shows/comics/etc… all the time. Admittedly you’re not that famous but it doesn’t hurt to set a good example… unless you plan to humble her later then sure. Mind you, I suppose I’m like that one critic complaining mid movie about characters/story line and so forth…. Anyways forget it

And also I help people when asked and even when they don’t ask and I see when they need it. If they gave me attitude while I was helping them I would remind them who I am and why I am there. Appreciate someone helping you. This is why men don’t want to help women anymore. The bad apples ruined it for the rest.

I get your point, but you also have to visualize the story from the point of view of a girl who is forced under the circumstances to live with a guy who might very well be giving her the opportunity to stay that night and take advantage of him. Her telling him not to try to overstep his boundaries is completely logical. My putting it in a more "comic" way is just for the sake of the narrative.

Ivan Nemmed

That’s fine to be defensive when it warrants it. I’m just saying she could have worded it better. Because if I was him, I’d say: You are still here because I’m not an asshole and trying to help you leave properly. So you better remember your manners.

NetVoke

I tell you, I wish women didn't distrust men, but if they do, it's largely because, unfortunately, abuse happens. And Gaby is a young, mutant girl. You can't blame her for having her defenses up.

Ivan Nemmed

Her right sure. She’s also an obvious bad judge of character. Now I get the idea here but I guess this what you get when you release one page at a time. If I bought the entire book, I obviously wouldn’t be making this comment. Anyways, I like your art style… don’t worry about me. Not having a major go at you. Just felt like too much from my POV

NetVoke

You do know that it’s not wise to do that to people who have been nothing but nice to you without even a hint of anything bad. It’s one thing to be cautious when you see anything funny from someone but this just screams “I have a boyfriend” nonsense from women assuming anyone trying to talk to them is always trying to hit on them

NetVoke

We, as readers, know that Access has not written a psychotic sexual abuser into the comic to terrorise Gaby. We have been granted insight into the innocence of his thoughts and his good nature. Gaby, on the other hand, is a young and vulnerable woman, living on her own. She has just been thrown out of her home due to emotional issues she is already coping poorly with. In a moment of complete crisis, an unknown man has entered her life and allowed her some extra time to find a solution, but part of the circumstances of his generosity mean that this unknown benefactor suddenly has the ability to enter her personal space, and his presence leaves her vulnerable to him as she is sleeping. Gaby is not being unneccessatily mean to the man we *as readers* have knowledge of, she is being cautious and protecting herself from the man she *as a vulnerable young woman* has knowledge of.

aabsurdity

Yes, Gaby acted badly with him at first when she met him at the mall, but at this point she is within her rights to distrust him.

Ivan Nemmed

Except she’s in the wrong from the moment of seeing him making assumptions. Plus he’s being extremely nice and not straight up kicking her out with her stuff

NetVoke

You have to look at it from the perspective of a 17-year-old girl who is forced to sleep under the same roof as a stranger. He may seem like a nice guy, but he may just as well be someone who hides his true intentions.

Ivan Nemmed

He’s been completely nice from start

NetVoke

This time it's more of a warning than anything else, and it's more understandable. Gaby is sleeping under the same roof with a guy who, although he seems nice, is a total stranger to her.

Ivan Nemmed

What’s with attacking the dude at every turn? He literally did nothing wrong or even hinted at
