Karin in Discord – A Year of New Experiments

“No no no, not like that,” Karin said sticking her leg out and running a hand alongside it. “Like this, you want to flex your calves as you walk to show off their definition.”

Leena had an uncomfortable look on her face. She was dressed in an outfit she never considered wearing before, one of Karin’s high cut dresses which showed off almost all of her leg, right up to her thigh along with a pair of obscenely expensive looking heels. “How do you… nngh… do this? My legs are already sore.”

“It’s not that hard you big baby,” Karin said teasing. “So it’s like this. Step, flex, sway your hips, step, flex, sway your hips.” She walked across the lab floor with the ease of a model walking down the runway. Leena was not as graceful. She nearly tripped over her own two feet and caught herself by leaning on a desk.

“Man, walking on walls is easier than this. You do this all the time Karin?”

“Of course I do! It’s important for a lady to keep up her appearance.” She leaned in a bit and whispered so the girls in the other room couldn’t hear. “Besides, if you work it hard enough, people will just give you stuff. Look at Access, he’s a sucker for anyone who shows a little leg.” She patted Leena on the back and helped her up. “Now try again. Step, flex, sway your hips. Step, flex, sway your hips.”

Leena followed suit again, her coordination not much better than a drunken raccoon, but at least she didn’t fall down this time. “Like this?”

Karin sighed “We’ll keep practicing.”

Just then the door opened. Access walked into the room carrying a clipboard. “Ah, Leena, Karin. There you are. We have a lot of experiments to plan for this year so Karin I need you in testing room 02 and Leena I need you at monitoring station C… why aren’t you in your labcoat?”

“Uh about that,” Leena said nervously, blushing and trying to cover up her somewhat more than usually exposed body. “Me and Karin were talking, and er… I mean… we had an idea… uh… you see… if you wanted to…”

“We want to take some time off,” blurted Karin poking Access in the forehead.

“Time off! The lab was shut down for almost a year, why would you want to take more time off now?” Access said in a mixture of shock and anger.

“Well, it’s not really time off,” Leena added. “We wanted to…”

“See the world!” Karin blurted out again. “We only ever get to see this one lab but there are so many other mutant labs out there, in so many different countries, with so many different stores and hotels and restaurants and…”

“What Karin is trying to say,” said Leena interjecting as Karin went off on a fantasy “Is that your fans only ever get to see the results of this lab’s hard work. But there are lots of other labs out there doing work with lots of other kinds of mutants. Heck, there are at least five other labs just in Port Solei. If we had some time to travel around and see the good work they are doing, we should show everyone what the world of mutant science looks like. Besides, the vaccine is being distributed, the pandemic will be over soon, and we have all been tired of being cooped up.”

“…and spas and boutiques and those little desert shops that make tiny cheesecakes that are so cute!”

“Besides, we can gather up information on the latest experiments and bring them back here, I’m sure Maddie would appreciate it… especially after you broke through the wall…”

“Carl is fixing the wall. He’s very handy,” Access said. “But this little road trip of yours is out of the question. We need you here! We have barely done any experiments and we are so behind schedule.”

“Oooh! Maybe we can take a cruise ship to one of the labs,” Karin continued to fantasize.

“Uh, we could have Karin do a few experiments at each lab so they can show off their research.” Leena explained.

“We can just e-mail them for their test results and administer the experiments here.” Access protested.

Leena bit her lower lip, unsure what to say next, before she felt an elbow in her side. “Psssst! Do the thing!” said Karin.

“Oh yeah!” Leena stretched out her leg flexing her muscles to show off it’s curved, stepping with a small click in front of Access to show off her borrowed pair of Louboutin heels. She cleared her voice and tried to put on as much of a deep and seductive tone as she could manage. “We’d also be able to show you all the latest fashions, maybe even get a photoshoot of the other lab girls and test subjects, uh…” she coughed again “In heels of course.”

Karin joined in, stepping in so close that her leg flat out rubbed against Access’s cheek “Think about it. They say intelligence is sexy. We can show everyone just how sexy it is. Not to mention we can get you some pictures for your personal collection… we all know you have it.”

Access swallowed hard, a bead of sweat dripping down his face “You girls make a good argument, but I’m still not sure we can spare the…”

“I’ll take the Gaby DNA, dress up in a schoolgirl outfit, and call you my naughty little professor…” Karin said in in a flat monotone.

“SOLD!” said Access. “I’ll get the DNA sample from the store-room.”

“Wait… what just happened?” said Leena.

“Never mind,” said Karin, waving off the concern with a flick of the wrist. The point is we get to go on our trip! All expenses billed to the lab of course. 2021 is going to be so exciting!”

“Still, the lab is going to be really short staffed without either of us here. I wonder if Maddie will be OK?”

“Are you kidding me?” said Karin with a laugh. “I took off a month a few years ago and you remember what happened? YOU showed up! There’s probably a line out the door of Patreon donators just waiting to show up and lick mutagen off the floor. You guys are weirdos like that.”

“Karin!” Access called from the other room. “I’m ready for my lesson!”

“I’ll be right back,” Karin said with a slight smile before she ran off.

“Huh,” Leena said admiring her own legs. “I guess a little confidence does pay off.”
