can I just say kinda off topic but all the AI yap that is everywhere lately made me wanna vent.

Please these arguments lack so much nuance it's actually crazy how little thought there is put into all these sweeping generalizations against AI .

"Oh no what about the energy costs? Think of the forests!"

I generate locally so it's really barely any different from what I use daily with my PC anyway.

"B-but stolen art?"

I use models that have open source/public data training them. Also this is a whole can of worms in a philosophical sense nothing is truly original, all art is derivative, and people internally copy and 'steal' other people's creations and we'd normally call it inspiration but if AI is involved hold your damn horses.

"B-but it's so easy and no-skill?"
Then you do it, I really would love to see you pull off what I'm doing at the same quality and ratio. Can't do it without spending quite a lot of time reading, setting up programs, extensions, and learning. You know, things you pay other people for so you don't have to do it yourself?

Sooooooo yea a service like any other. I know most of you already realize this, or simply don't give a damn. I mean you're subscribed to an AI artist in the first place. It's not like I was hiding that from anyone, it's plainly advertised even in the name of my Patreon.

Anyway... These people are really just stuck on repeat with the same talking points over and over again.

But you know not once in my two years of AI-gen have I gotten one person hating on me or my content in DM's or something. I kinda wish they would so I could tell them to shut up
