Moon was always the closest one, almost in our grasp. It's actually one of the hardest close celestial bodies to go onto, because precision required to do so. Actually first science fiction movie was a French flick "Le Voyage dans la Lune" (A Trip to the Moon) in 1902. It had very innovative special effects done for the first time in history.
But Raul somehow found another Moon. With its own gravity, much denser than our typical one.
