What's going on with JR?

First of all - thanks for sticking with me here :). Second - I am sorry for the lack of well… Me last weeks. This month has been a total rollercoaster for me. It started with battling with my depression which has been lingering for months now. It also caused a lot of problems with my insomnia. So went on a visit to a psychiatrist, got drugs. It makes it easier on me now. So that's nice. But makes my sleep schedule very strict and actually longer than I like.

There's more?

Then my main "JR" hard drive crashed. All PSD's with all works as JR are gone. All scene files, textures etc. were kept on other drives (with backups), but I never kept a backup of rendered and edited works. And that's now gone. As you might've noticed a new logo has been born out of it:

What the drive crash means to you? Not much really. I have backed up everything on FanBox, but in jpeg. All the rest was posted out there - either on pixiv, shotachan, baraag or in case with oldest ones - on 3db forum. But I have no more access to clean uncensored renders I did over the past 5 years or so. And no more unpublished stuff. Oh well, nothing that harsh on me in the end. Actually I am a bit glad it is gone - I was thinking about starting a thread with all my old works on forums, that would take time to categorize and stuff, so in the end I can focus more on future projects instead of dwelling in the past.

Hm. What's next? Oh. I had B-Day this month. As always disappointing ;-; So that's been fun. That ended up with reassessing my previous works, how I am proceeding, what to do to improve on my works to give you guys better ones in the future. So I focused on honing new skills - especially texturing and sculpting. Creating my own props, environments, editing already owned ones. What that means to you? More unique renders with focus on quality (even if there's less of them because of it), that are not just cookie cutter "found it on DAZ store" stuff.

Learning new things ended up being very time-consuming. To the point it made me fall behind on requests. Which I am sorry for. I will send messages to all supporters on HUGE tier and MEDIUM ones ASAP, as soon as I finish this post that is. Next weeks I will dedicate to focus on catching up with you guys.

The Future

So. Any big new projects from me? What will be the future of JR and this FANbox? I have an idea for those that want to start making (or are making and want to learn more) their own works with DAZ Studio - I don't know if it would be included with existing tiers, would be a separate tier or maybe even a new FANbox dedicated just to that. I imagine it having a lot of tips and tricks not seen anywhere or presented in a form that is more accessible than anywhere. Furthermore, I already started on some content like that and will share it here to see if it gathers any attention. It would include custom textures, props, shaders, time lapses and traditional tutorials explaining some quirks when making shota-related works. Maybe even some guest appearances.

All in the planning stage right now. So nothing certain. What I have experienced in terms of making tutorials was ... it never gathered much attention. Assets and resources on the other hand - much more so. I wouldn't want to spend all additional time to just have it out and with nobody using it in the end. So need to think about it very thoroughly. But I thought to give you a heads-up on what's in my brain right now.

Another thing is - I am in a process of creating maybe the most detailed character I ever did. He, as of now is 70% done. So that's next thing to watch out for in the future of this FANbox. Also in the process of learning new skills in sculpting and texturing area I made some unique works - You will be seeing them very soon! :)
