I've been drawing for 30 years and you'd be surprised how often I can't draw the same faces.
Added 2025-08-22 10:21:46 +0000 UTCEven at my age, I tend to choose a way of drawing that I've never done before, or a way that I'm not good at, thinking that I'll still discover something new, or that I'll still get better at it. And it never turns out to be the same face.
Even the paintings of Lain that I have been drawing for a while now, each face is quite different from the other. Well, I think that's acceptable. One by one, I try my best to keep going straight, alternating between some challenge I've never done before and a drawing method I'm used to, like right foot and left foot.
こんな歳になっても、まだ新しい発見があるのではないか、とか、まだ上手くなるはず、と思って、やった事のない描き方とか、苦手なやり方とかを選択してしまいがちです。そして同じ顔にならない。
ここしばらく描いているlainの絵も、一枚ずつかなり顔が違います。まあ、許容範囲だとは思いますが。一枚ずつ、何かやった事のない挑戦と、慣れた描き方とを、右足と左足のように交互に出しつつ、まっすぐ進めるように頑張っています。
