Legal sleeze
Added 2025-11-11 11:24:28 +0000 UTCJust venting and yapping about, what is looking more like a truly endless legal battle with my landlord/mechanic/another company.
So the deadline passed. They chose to respond on the very last hours of the last day of the deadline..
Whatever law firm they hired to defend them is an absolute clown-show. Can you imagine their main argument is "this case doesn't fit with this committee, but IF it does here's our defense(which is also really bad)"
So according to the committee I have to respond just to that one tiny part of their claim for now. The part where they say this isn't the right place for it and the case needs to be thrown out.
So how'd I dismantle that dumbass claim? I mean.. They did it for me...
One of the files they sent as attachments in this reply, contains the legal codes of the exact services they deliver.
Guess what abbreviation is IN those legal service codes? That's right, the name of the committee itself. It's WILD to claim they have no legal authority over this, and then deliver the evidence that shows otherwise in the very same e-mail.
Plus the content of the case itself falls categorically in their jurisdiction even if these product codes weren't quite literally directly related to the committee's category of law.
Wtf is happening are lawyers really this dumb? No.. they know what they're doing. They knew how little chance it had of working, but this is how it goes, you throw everything on the wall and see what sticks.
Whatever...
They're absolutely demolishing whatever shred of credibility / reputation they may have had left, the committee won't appreciate bad-faith tactics like this...

It makes the most sense but seeing it in practice is still wild to me!
