[Horny Dungeon] Devlog #005 - The Situation(s) (SFW Edition)

Another devlog incoming! This one is a bit short tho, cause the latest progress is mostly shown on the cover .gif. Again, if you are a Patreon subscriber, just read the NSFW version.

The Patreon Situation

This Patreon has been for pure donation only for quite a while. I never set up what rewards each tier get. (Thank you all very much for supporting me out of pure benevolence!)

But the situation is gonna change! I've completely overhauled the tiers of this Patreon.

The most important parts are:

1. If you pledge $24 cumulatively (for example, $2 for 9 months and $6 for 1 month: $2x9 + $6 = 24), you'll get the a copy of Horny Dungeon upon its Steam release. Even if you cancelled your subscription at some point, as long as you have pledged for at least $24, you'll get the game.

But please don't cancel. I'll cry ;_:

2. Whenever a new demo version is ready, $6 and above tiers' subscribers will get it 2 weeks earlier before the public.

There are other tiers and rewards. Please refer to Memberships page for more details.

The Steam Situation

As I briefly explained in this post, Steam reviews process can be a pain in the ass, especially for games that they think to need more "considerations". Spoiler: a NSFW game like this is likely to fall into this category.

But it's a bit unfair to blame Steam here. The real problem is this game still have a lot basic features to implement, and I'm not willing to spend too much time/energy to botch a trailer at this point.

A game can only register for one single Steam Next Fest. It means if I fucked up I would just waste a valuable chance.

So the current plan is to release a demo on Patreon and itch.io first, listen to your feedbacks and then prepare for Next Fest in June 2024.

Also, while the store page is done, for NSFW games, Steam usually requires an internal demo build (which is not done) to publish the store page. So it's not guaranteed the store page will be up soon.

The Devlog Situation

As always, I'll keep posting devlogs when I think there is something worth to tell.

But I'd like to clarify one thing: not all the content will necessarily be posted as devlogs, especially the lewd content. After all, if I posted too much, when the demo is finally out you might find it disappointing that you've seen all the good stuff here.

So yeah, text-only devlogs will be more common. Hopefully I don't bore you out.

The Lewd Situation

I've made some basic clips for the blowjob scene , but the whole scene is not yet done though. I'd like to make it more interactive, a bit like Super Deep Throat (if you know that game).

Another issue is that the current graphics code can't do good cumshot, so if the time allows me, I'd like to put more R&D works on liquid shaders.

The goalpost is to have 3 main sex scenes (2 for Iris, 1 for Seraphina) for the first demo, and a bit of extra nudity/lewd stuff sparkled around.
