They are aliens who came to Earth and disguised themselves as humans, students at a high school. Acting like boys, they always fought over a girl, trying to protect her. Along with their superpowers, they can also turn into wolves when angered. So in this intro, they are in a dystopian society/school, and are chained in case they turn into wolves.
