The time jump was 7 years. That was not Vi in the beginning, it was a girl with pink hair that triggered Jinx to see Vi for a moment and when she realized it wasn't Vi, she shot her. Caitlyn was the young girl who was friends with Jayce when he was 24. They have a brother and sister dynamic. He was just looking out for her with that position as a brother but she doesn't want to be stuck in a desk job. She wants to do good and she doesn't care about money, even having grown up very very rich. And that means Vi has been in prison for all 7 years. Marcus took her before she could try to save her sister from Silco.
