OVERLORD- CH-84. Her name is Aya!
Added 2025-02-19 03:53:31 +0000 UTC"Wow!" Ainz exclaimed in surprise. The statues were far more exquisite than he had imagined, especially when compared to the ones he had made himself.
In the end, only three of Ainz's companions had not quit the guild. Although they remained, they rarely, if ever, logged in again.
This sculpture was made in their honor. Ainz was very satisfied with it and had to admit that Pandora had real talent in this area.
"This is art!"
If only his personality were more normal...
"Lord Ainz."
"Hm?"
"The one you asked me to create is also completed." Pandora said.
For most of these companions, visual references had been left behind, making their sculptures easy to craft. However, for the last one, only a few in-game screenshots remained, as most of the data had been lost.
Using those screenshots, Pandora had managed to restore the image of that person.
"What is this?" Albedo asked, her gaze fixed on the exquisite sculpture before her—a breathtakingly beautiful woman she had never seen before.
"Ah, she was a member of the guild and left a long time ago." Ainz explained, "But she was also a very important partner of mine."
"Very important..."
"Yes, very important." Ainz affirmed as he studied the statue in front of him, "Well done, Pandora."
"It was my pleasure."
The statue was lifelike, likely because the reference figure herself had been extraordinarily beautiful. The final result was stunning.
However, that companion had intended to sell his account when he left the game, meaning he did not leave Ainz any items—at least, not intentionally.
Ainz reached into his inventory and retrieved a necklace.
It was an artifact-level item with excellent properties. Additionally, it had a special skill that could be instantly activated without consuming MP, eliminating all abnormal status effects. In its time, it was one of the strongest accessories available.
Its name was—Precious Memory.
Ainz carefully placed the necklace around the statue's neck.
"Lord Ainz?"
"Hm? What is it, Albedo?"
"Could you tell me about this Supreme Being? No... perhaps she was not a Supreme Being, but in Ainz-sama's heart..."
"That's right. Just treat her as a Supreme Being."
"Understood. May I ask her name?" Albedo lowered her head slightly as she inquired.
"Her name is Aya."
"I see." Albedo responded calmly.
______
"Albedo, where is Lord Ainz?" Demiurge asked as he walked between the thrones, searching for Ainz.
"Lord Ainz has accepted a mission from an adventurer and will be staying out tonight," Albedo responded calmly.
"Then I will deliver my report to you first. Please ensure Lord Ainz receives it later." Demiurge said, handing her a document.
"What happened?"
"I summoned a demon—a level 75 Flame Demon Commander—to gather intelligence, but he was killed in a place called the Dragon Kingdom."
"Oh?" Albedo narrowed her eyes.
"The most likely cause was the knight Shalltear encountered last time, or perhaps there are other powerful individuals in this land that we have yet to discover." Demiurge speculated.
"It is also possible that he is someone like Ainz-sama... or even a 'Supreme One.'" Albedo mused with a smile.
"I understand. I will ensure Ainz-sama is informed of this."
______
Since arriving in this strange world, Aya had noticed many changes in herself, one of which was an overwhelming sense of drowsiness.
Perhaps it was related to the characteristics of her race. According to official lore, the Mother Goddess of Life, as the queen of primal monsters, possessed an immeasurable lifespan. However, she also had an innate tendency to sleep for extended periods. When fatigued, her sleep could last for years.
Of course, even during slumber, the Mother Goddess of Life's abilities continued to function efficiently—a unique trait established in the official setting.
Thus, Aya firmly believed that her habit of going to bed early and waking up late was not due to laziness, but rather a natural consequence of her race.
