OVERLORD- CH-59. Night Talk
Added 2025-01-31 04:56:29 +0000 UTCAfter explaining various precautions, Lilith first used magic to summon a set of clothes and then cast a teleportation spell, disappearing from view.
"Wow, the master is really amazing!"
"She's so cute, even when she's serious~" As soon as Lilith vanished, the others started chattering, each one visibly excited.
"Benny, I didn't expect you to be a girl." One of them gently stroked Benny's cheek.
Her facial features were well-defined, but due to years of adventuring, her face had become a bit thin and rough. The same was true for her body, with skin that was rough and several obvious, hideous scars.
"You'll become very beautiful and very happy."

In order to avoid sparking public speculation that "the Moon Shadow Team's relationship with the Colswaites family is close enough to allow them to stay overnight," Monica politely rejected the Duchess' invitation and left the Duke's Mansion early.
Although the Duchess had wanted to host them, Operan, understanding that too much insistence could be off-putting, only made a brief invitation and refrained from pressing further.
'Too much is as bad as too little.' She thought. Actions in social situations must always be moderate. Eventually, the Duchess arranged a carriage to take them back to their lodgings before the gates of the inner city closed.
Returning to their much simpler room compared to the luxurious noble mansion, but where they could finally relax, Monica sank wearily onto the bed.
She removed her dusty robe, folded it neatly, and placed it on the wooden table beside her, then collapsed onto the bed with a sigh.
Even at this moment, she didn't neglect her tidying. Meanwhile, Darlena simply tossed her dirty clothes to the floor.
"I'm so tired. This feels worse than playing World of Warcraft for a whole day." Monica muttered.
"But the food was delicious." Darlena replied casually, lounging on the bed.
"I admire you for being able to eat so comfortably under such circumstances."
"Hey, it's not that impressive."
"I'm not praising you." Monica shot back, sitting up, "What should we do about the equipment the Duchess is sending us?"
"Just keep it. It's already been given to us." Darlena said, "The Duchess gave it to us because he might need us in the future. This could be beneficial."
Of course, adventurers face risks when involving themselves with powerful figures, but there are also advantages.
For instance, the two pieces of magical equipment the Duchess intended to send would undoubtedly be of high quality. It was bound to be a significant upgrade for the Mithril Team.
"Besides." Darlena continued, "It seems Levi has a very good relationship with the Duchess. With someone as powerful as him on our side, I believe the Colswaites' power will be very stable."
"That's true." Monica sighed, "Forget it. There's no point in dwelling on it now. I already owe you a favor."
"The equipment the Duchess mentioned might be delivered tomorrow or the day after. Why don't we discuss it then?" Darlena sat up, looking across at the girl opposite her.
"Jasmine, let's talk about your situation."
This was the room Monica and Darlena shared, while Jasmine's room was next door. She was called here specifically because there was something important to discuss.
In a sense, this could be considered a girls' gathering.
Jasmine wasn't wearing her usual hood, revealing her striking light green long hair and pointed elf ears, particularly the half-broken ear, which stood out.
The elf girl was now sitting with her head lowered, visibly upset.
"So, what's the deal? Is Levi from the Church?" Monica asked.
"No." Jasmine replied quietly, and both Monica and Darlena visibly relaxed.
Elves and humans belong to different races, but unlike races like orcs, elves' appearances generally align with human aesthetics. They don't have cannibalistic traits, nor do they harbor deep racial hatred for humans.
Aside from the Silian Theocracy, which has conflicts of interest with the Elf Kingdom and advocates human supremacy, humans elsewhere don't generally harbor animosity toward elves.
Some even find elves more beautiful than humans and have a particular fondness for them. To give an example, in the slave market of the Bahas Empire, elves are worth at least twice as much as humans of similar gender, age, and appearance.
Therefore, unless the boy is from the Silian Theocracy, there's a good chance he would develop an interest in elves.
"I already have someone I love." Jasmine lifted her head and looked at the two teammates, who had ulterior motives and clearly wanted her to go on a "blind date." She spoke firmly.
Monica and Darlena exchanged a resigned look.
Three months ago, they had accepted a combat mission and left Maple Moon Territory for the capital of the Dragon Kingdom. It was there that Jasmine had met a person and fallen in love.
Jasmine and her lover shared a very good relationship. That person lived in the capital, and they exchanged letters regularly. They were deeply in love.
Moreover, that person accepted Jasmine's race and her past as a slave. That person also had good abilities and financial resources. In many ways, that person seemed like an excellent match.
However, the rest of the Moon Shadow Team, including Monica and Darlena, was fundamentally opposed to Jasmine's relationship for various reasons.
"Jasmine, no matter what you say, I still think you two aren't right for each other." Monica said solemnly, "I hope you'll reconsider."
"We care for each other. We're both adventurers, both capable of supporting ourselves. And she doesn't mind my past. So, what's wrong with it?" Jasmine argued.
"Your genders are fundamentally incompatible. You're both women." Monica said, visibly disappointed.
"She's also a famous lesbian in the Dragon Kingdom. God knows how many girls she's been with." Darlena added, "Her reputation precedes her in Maple Moon Territory."
"She's serious this time. Stop talking about it!" Jasmine stood up abruptly and stormed out of Monica's room.
Every time they discussed this, it ended badly.
"Oh, this is truly worrying." Monica sighed, looking like a concerned mother.
"I feel like Jasmine has something else on her mind today."
"Who knows? It's impossible to guess what she's thinking."

"Oh, this is so interesting!" Lilith nestled in Aya's arms and smiled, like a child who had just received a new toy.
"What's wrong?" Aya whispered, feeling uneasy. She was sitting on the sofa, chatting with Operan, while Lilith had used her transparency magic to sit on her lap.
Lilith had been called in to report on the devil's affairs, but Operan had suddenly invited her for tea. The intention had been to make Lilith transparent and have her wait quietly on the side, but this mischievous girl refused to comply!
The succubus girl's transparency level was very high, even Camilla couldn't see through it, but it seemed she had caught onto something.
Aya frowned, puzzled.
While chatting with her friends, she was aware of a transparent girl sitting on her lap. Looking at the Duchess' serene smile in front of her, Aya felt an odd sense of guilt.
And despite the situation, Lilith didn't stop touching her at all!
