Whedonverse horror eith some MCU thrown in

Kris Homeniuk

my introverted sister played the evil plant in her high school's play of that. she said he could only have done it knowing she wouldn't have to go on stage. she STUNNED everyone, including our family, at how amazing her vocals were singing!

Joe Angus

The part about 6:40 mins in where Jules says to Curt, "I learned it from watching you" is a reference to an '80s anti-drug Public Service Announcement (PSA) in which a father finds his son's weed stash and confronts him. The father asks "Who taught you how to use this stuff?" And the kids responds, "You, alright? I learned it by watching you!" This '80s anti-drug PSA and another one with an egg in a frying pan that says, "This is your brain on drugs" are quoted ubiquitously in pop culture as it is one of the few things everyone living in the 80s was exposed to (regardless of age).

Gurkha Legend

if you like horror comedy you should watch The little shop of Horror

Alias Internal

Nemo is Latin it means No Name.

You can always count on Joss Whedon to spin a cool yarn, and also throw in some funny lines. You should watch his TV series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. A lot of the ideas in this movie came from there. Tien, so cute in glasses! I don't know why, but Asian girls look so good in glasses.

I recommend Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon (2006). Its a horror mockumentary that looks into the motivations of the psychopath killer characters in horror films from the perspective of a guy who is just beginning his psychopath journey and is very competent, following a systematic methodology. It touches on the major cliches of the slasher genre, including the virgin survivor girl. It has Robert Englund, the guy who played Freddy Krueger, as the main character's mentor. If you can, watch Poltergeist (1982) so you can recognize another notable actress. The other movies that people recommended in the comments here are all solid choices.

I've had never seen this movie, before. Watching it with ya'll, was fun. Asian Munchies, love it.

Gam

Hi Asian Munchies !! A good way to see the movie that i heard on youtube is to see the olds gods as ourself or yourself each times you look a horror movie. All the monster are cliche or monster from other movie changed just enough to avoid plagiat. the "science guys" are like screenwriter who are creating his movie. they're celebrating when people die jus like some are laughing or are playing at "how is the character is gonna die?" when watching a horror movie. A cool way to put us in perspective, I thing. anyway I hope you enoyed the movie and see you another time in a another crossover. Have a nice days !! PS: The "Husband Bulge" you didn't understand. it's just a soft funny way to say the guy got an erections. Just that.

Vietnamese Vixens! I am loving the Munchies-Angels collabs for these horror movies. You all are awesome. I will echo other commenters and recommend Tucker & Dale vs. Evil and Zombieland for horror comedies. I also recommend Stir of Echoes for another great ghostly scary movie. Thank you for a great reaction!

Jeffrey Roberts

Harnold S. Plinkett

Everyone looking so fine today.

Need some comedy Ladies? Try Tucker & Dale vs. Evil (2010) absolutely hilarious.

Manospondylus

This film was actually completed in 2009, but the studio that made it, MGM, went bankrupt and had to restructure and sold off a bunch of assets. Lionsgate bought this film but just put it on a shelf before releasing it without much marketing in 2012, but the film did pretty well at the box-office anyway and became very popular with horror fans. The movie is a bit of a love-letter to horror movies that came before it, especially: EVIL DEAD (You should watch all these films) FRIDAY THE 13TH, TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, and HELLRAISER(you should watch the first 2 of these).

Steven

Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil is such a great movie.

Steven

If I remember correctly, the movie wasn't a huge success at first. It wasn't until Thor came out shortly afterward and Chris Hemsworth became an A-list star that Cabin in the Woods started to get more attention. It's definitely a great movie with a crazy concept. Everyone probably thought, "WTF is happening here," when they first saw it.😅 That was an awesome reaction, ladies, as always.💜

Digitalversager

Its one of the best Horror Comedy Movies.... the other 2 are Tucker & Dale vs. Evil and Zombieland

JessDMorgan
