Major General John Pope

1:21:15 the best version of the Rawhide theme tune I have ever heard

christopher brown

i do find it funny that the Rednecks all start screaming and crying when they start playing. Country and Western wouldn't be around if it wasn't for Blues.

Matthew Maxon

In Chicago our trains are by colors, Red, Blue, Green, Orange, etc.. We have what's called "The Loop" around Downtown. The trains come in, make a Loop around downtown and then go back out. That building is just off the tracks. The trains also stop after a certain time and start back up early in the morning. They don't run 24 hours. 1060 West Addison is the address of Wrigley Field. That's where the Chicago Cubs Baseball team play.

Filming Locations then and now.... https://youtu.be/iiVVmz-glkk?si=NqhdqLPUHAE1RoPa

I’m glad you all seemed to enjoy it! Personally I’ve never been a fan of this movie and its choice of absurdity, but it was fun watching your reaction!

fan

i don't know, I've seen a lot of garbage walking around recently

spritegeist

Chicago does not really look that polluted anymore. It's much more clean.

Matthew Maxon

Poor Lan, so sick. Thank you for hanging in there. I died when John Lee Hooker first sang “haw haw haw” and Tien was like “what!” This film must’ve seen so foreign and old and slow to them. Thanks for giving it a chance. It’s great to see all different types of movies and I really appreciate you guys!

Jef Etters

Great reaction girls. FYI Blues music is really the basis for most American popular music including Jazz, Swing, Rock and Roll, Soul, Pop, Rock, and even Hip Hop. Many of the people singing were really legendary entertainers. James Brown (the preacher), John Lee Hooker (the old blues man singing on the street), Aretha Franklin (in the cafe), Ray Charles (in the music store), and Cab Callaway (the old man singing Minnie the Moocher).

be frank

Yes, Smokey and the bandit would be perfect

Sheldon

I’d pay real money to see their reaction when they realize they just saw Steven Spielberg acting in a movie. And the voice of Yoda……

chris johnson

God I love cars from the 70's. Smokey and the Bandit would be the perfect follow-up to this movie. I think many will agree.

Manospondylus

Great Reaction to a Classic movie. The Blues brothers were lucky that Carrie Fisher had Stormtrooper accuracy in this movie. Dan Aykroyd (Elwood) was also in Trading places. Also, Lan hope you get over that cold

christopher brown

John West

Best thing about this movie is it was made before CGI. It's all real.

Mr Jackpots

The woman in the Convertible car is Twiggy famous model in the 60,s.

The Hall they,re playing in is The Hollywood Paladium in Cal.We would go to concerts and watch people throw Fribees at the Chandeliers, alot of Marijuana too.

John West

Blue is a color, but it's also an American English colloquialism meaning sad or melancholy. The Blues are American songs about feeling that way.

Mr Jackpots

We called Nuns Penguins because of all Black habits they wore.

John West

The Older gentleman wearing the Sunglasses is Ray Charles very well known musician, Blind, hit with a Bat when he was a child.

John West

The reason they don't stop the Nazis in the park is because of Our 1st Amendment of Free speech.

John West

Bless you Lan,because you sneezed.

John West

The Production Co. paid Big money for the Mall destruction scene, it was going to be torn down anyway for a New project.
