After having the sleep in separate rooms for the entire season, he felt entitled to some time alone with his lady, and he's quite the gentleman here. Everything feels perfect.
His new power makes it easier for them to sneak around too, so that's a plus!

They are not related at all. Drake is a Narakhan who sort of betrayed his 'boss' Ayah, and now he's on the run with Joy while she's doing the Knighthood quest. As time goes on, Drake and Joy have developed feelings for each other, so they've got a relationship that's formed in a way. So they're most likely lovers at this point.
