Poll: Vertical renders

Hello everyone,

I'm reaching out today to get your thoughts on the format of 3D renders.

Sometimes, the focal point of a scene is vertical, and using a horizontal format ends up filling the image with "unnecessary" content. As a result, fewer pixels are dedicated to the actual point of interest. Occasionally, I'd like to switch the camera to a vertical orientation to get a sharper image of the most relevant part of the scene.

To illustrate what I mean, here’s a short (non-canon) scene, (you’ll probably recognize Arvor, whom I’ve repurposed) rendered in the usual horizontal format, and the same scene with a few vertical render variations.

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

I hope you enjoy the scene, and feel free to share any additional thoughts in the comments.

Please find the archives attached, poll closes next monday.

Indeed, but i noticed it sometimes blurs the interesting part of some scenes, which can get sharper with portrait !

Thanks for you feedback RCH ! The mix of both can be confusing, but it's very convenient :) I can't wait to write the next part!

Hi, I prefer the horizontal format; I find it more immersive.

There is a reason it's call landscape and portrait. One format is good for wide scenic locations and another is good for focused scenic. Your art use the tools as you see fit! Loving the our slutty "Charlie's Angels" as well as the continuation of "Crossroad"
