It's been a long time, but the warden of Asylum 555 (in universe known as the Codex) finally has a canon design!
Meet The Directrix.
She's made a faustian bargain with an eldritch entity obsessed with rules and orderliness - together they scour the multiverse as part of an interdimensional collections agency, headquartered out of their prison The Codex.
If you owe anything to anyone - whether it's twenty bucks to your friend or a debt to society from that genocide you pulled - heroes and villains alike can be found as fugitives marked for capture.
It's a tough job. The concept of 'debt' is so wibbly-wobbly and semantic, she can lawfully find a reason to nab just about anybody. So watch your step ;)
