Updates, Upgrades Coming Soon

Update 1: Part 1 coming out late tonight Friday. Part 2 this weekend. Really excited about this one, they just keep getting better and more cinematic. I’m entertained just listening to the audio haha. Also after video auditions today I’m leaning towards Tori Ellis now.

Looking like I will need a couple more days (until Wednesday maybe Thursday) to finish angels landing. The lighting for the narrows and angels landing was incredibly difficult technically to color grade with such strong shadows right next to such strong daylight. I am still extremely impressed with how it turned out thanks to the years of color grading experience under my belt now. It is just taking longer than anticipated to color grade. Also, I kinda forgot it is my birthday today, and I am told I am not allowed to work for more than a couple hours today lol 😅

Took the rig to the repair shop a couple weeks ago, and was informed that the lens had failed. Already ordered a fresh $2k lens replacement so it is ready for filming Michigan Ice fest in a couple weeks. Ice caves, ice waterfalls, and epic ice climbing awaits.

I have also narrowed down the Cancun Mexico lead actress to Maria Atuesta or Penelope Margot. Still undecided.

A loan has been successfully secured for the pre-order of the new Ursa Cine Immersive!!! I estimate it will cost close to $45k with all the accessories needed. $3k just for four batteries XD This will enable the next generation of immersive experiences at 16k 3D 90fps VR180.

For Quest 3 it means 8k 3D quality unlike you have ever seen - ever . Because the 16k will be super sampled to 8k it will make every single pixel eye candy with enhanced color, added sharpness, less artifacts, and increased dynamic range. And the 16k version will be waiting for you when next gen headsets such as Quest 4 come out! (Vision Pro is the only headset that will be able to view the 16k content currently, Pimax may be compatible also as well as the new Google headset coming out this year)

Someone pointed out to me the other day that they think I should be able to pay myself already - and I believe they are correct.

However, I choose not to pay myself as I am not in this for a quick buck. I am in this to make a difference in this world. I want to bring VR to the mainstream to help the most people I possibly can in my short time on earth. And the only way to do this is with industry leading quality. I could cut corners on the travel locations and buy cheaper hardware, but that is exactly what the Vr industry has been doing all these years. Afraid to increase risk/investment because of how small the market is - which leads to the market never growing to its true potential. Yes at the end of the day, it is very risky to invest a lot in such a small market so I get it. I understand that all of what I have built can come crashing down very quickly if to many supporters leave. But I refuse to shy away in the face of such great risk, in the hope of growing VR to its true potential.
