June 2022 - Progress Update and Sketch Dump

the most immediate thing being that I got Covid while out visiting my family in the last week of june. that naturally killed basically any vacation plans, as well as any plans of doing a little extra work on basically anything as I lay in bed recovering. not much of a vacation obviously. I did end up extending my stay by a bit just so i could be nice and recovered (we drove back home from the trip which was itself a multi-day affair of exhaustion).
that is also why the daily doodles got stopped for june halfway (and why july is missing a few doodle days too), no time nor energy because being sick does that.
Even before that june was kicking my butt. On the list of things I wanted to get done for June, Commissions took up the lion's share of time, as I got several comic commissions, which even with my newer process for making them smoothing things out, still are a multi-week affair just to get 1 comic done. (incidentally I raised my comic commission prices again, to hopefully better match the time and effort they take to make)
MBaW! episode 1 development took a backseat to the commissions, not helped by the step i need to do to keep working being the obnoxious kind of necessary, simple, and tedious that is making me drag my feet on it. basically a lot of editing and translating the lines from one coding language to another. which... again, is not hard just time consuming and boring in the worst way to make me work on it (especially when i have other art work pieces that also need my time/attention). But, we'll see if I can push past my hesitancy to finish up episode 1 this month.
And of course the old youtube video did not even get touched. oh well.
For streaming, I didn't get more than the single monthly livestream done. another oh well. this month's live stream will be on July 11th noon PST over on Pictaro here. see you then
