My Boyfriend's a Werecat! ACT 1 Draft: Complete!

Heyyo everybuddy!

Sorry for lack of serious updates via patreon lately. there sadly hasn't been much to seriously report as work is slowly done on My Boyfriend's a Werecat! But as of the last 24 hours, we hit a milestone!

the full first draft for MBaW! Act 1 is complete!

So, what does that mean? and when will MBaW! be done? And what comes next?

What that means:

What it means, is every scene for ACT 1 (essentially the first half of the story we want to tell) is complete written out. the entirety of ACT 1 clocks in at ~125k, or just little over 1 TU (Twilight Unit, as Twilight is kind of a good average for well known medium length commercial fiction), and by entirety, that means, all the scene variants, and all of the CAT Ends. the minimum word count of just start to finish, with no replaying for scene variants, and avoiding all the CAT ends, clocks it around half that, about 65K

Now, this does not mean that every scene has been edited, so that rough word count is subject to change, but the general scope is there.

When will MBaW! be done:

Honestly? no idea. 

We plan on getting it as done as we can as fast as we can, but well, life happens. And just a cursory glance outside (or on twitter), you can see life is happening a lot lately. 2020 has been a hell of a year. But we do hope to see some more progress on it done, and we will share that with you as soon as it is!

What's Next:

Well, its June, Pride Month, and nearing a year since we put up the public demo for MBaW! as such, we're currently working hard to get an updated demo done and out for you by the months end, both on itch.io, and on steam!

the updated demo will be "Complete" in it is as polished and edited as to standards we want for the full release. it will include updated Art, fixes to the myriads of spelling and grammar errors that slipped thru the last pass, and most importantly, includes a brand new scene at the very beginning, showcasing how exactly Zack and Spencer got together!

Once that's complete and in your hands, the plan is work on Act 1 in chunks as outlined back in January, editing and drawing art for a set of scenes, than releasing that set for patrons over on itch, until we make it all the way through ACT 1, and it becomes publicly available for all!

As for how long that takes? who knows! hopefully it won't take long, but it probably will.

For now, We'll see you all again some time this month when the updated Demo goes out!
