In some shows like Seven Deadly Sins the character Baan never bothers dodging attacks, so sometimes it makes sense.

Reinhard, for all his OPness, is aware that he is not perfect. He's not as smart as Subaru is, he couldn't fix his broken family relationships, and he knows he can't save everyone. But everyone in the Re Zero world treats Reinhard as some unstoppable godlike being who is perfect in every way, someone who could do it all, and you can't blame them, most viewers of the show think the same too. And then here comes Subaru telling him that he'll cover for what he lacks. It must've been extremely relieving for him to know that someone out there is somewhat aware that he can't do everything.

2025-07-22 22:19:44 +0000 UTCThe community said that Reinhard can have any Divine Blessing, and this is true, but not correct. He can have divine blessings that exist and that he WANT to have. If he doesn't know that there is a divine blessing of Freeing hostage unharmed, and/or he would not think to want this exact blessing at the time, he would not get it. He is insanely strong and has almost infinite potential, but as you see, he is not used to use his brain to think, and why would he? He is a hero, and a hero is all he can be. Someone asks him to help, he helps, that's his job, that's how he was taught from the childhood. The guys is traumatized to the point of almost inhumanity. Any creative thinking is not something he can normally do, this is why Subaru is the one making strategies and Reinhard by his own words saying that he is too weak on this side of things. I am thinking of him as of Nuke. He can ultimately destroy anything. But he needs someone to point the direction and strategize for himself, because he is incapable of doing so
