Pretty insane power. It seems specifically made to torment people rather than give some combat advantage, which makes it even more sinister.

Eating names: Means everyone forgets about you but you are still awake and conscious and have your own memories in tact. And then both being eaten results in the empty shell like Rem. Where she has no memories and everyone has forgotten her(except Subaru).
