Black Canary's Bad Guy Beatdown Playlist!
Added 2024-12-19 14:18:51 +0000 UTCEvery now and then I've alluded to "Black Canary's playlist" when accompanying her into battle... occasionally dropping songs into comics as best I can with play cues.
Well, I present to you Black Canary's full playlist. Songs I listen to when trying to write for her that help inspire her badassery (even though, y'know... the constant damsel thing) in comics.
Composed of mostly hard, fist pumping rock tunes as I always saw Dinah as a rocker... a punk, so the majority of the playlist reflects that. But that's not to say her taste isn't rooted in just that anti-authority angst, oh no she enjoys a good classic along with some songs that just fit the vibe of hanging out on patrol in Gotham or an evening in with Mari.
Do I have other playlists saved for other characters like Babs, Zatanna and Cass? ...yes.
Are they vastly different to this? ...let's just say mixing dubstep and classical music is certainly a wild ride when writing a Cass comic!

Mari is firmly rooted in my love for Motown and Soul... so I'd love to put one together in time, I just need to write her more to have reason to create her playlist XD
