Zane was made way more edgy in the dub. A lot of characters actually had their entire personalities changed by 4Kids.

You are right about Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo stopping Special Summons in the real game, they just changed its irl effect completely from its anime effect. Btw, Jim's Fossil cards didn't show up in the real game until 2020 and that only happened because they won a popularity poll.
