This Canadian Giant power hammer has risen like a mighty beaver to once again work hot metal rods.
Have you had any offers for it, yet? It really turned out beautifully.

Thank you! Yes, the main TIG welder is down and we used this weird older one that converts from tig to stick welding.

That thing came out awesome! I kinda want one.
The sparks looked like a lower carbon steel, but that might have been the existing filler wire. Did the sparks change any when you hit original metal?
I feel bad for your buddy who welded it though... Scratch start tig sucks LoL
A cleaner way to start it is to hold the filler wire to the part, touch the tungsten to the wire then yank the wire away. Keeps from blowing the nice shiny point off the tungsten. The way to end a scratch start tig weld cleanly borders on insanity though, your supposed to run the arc up the filler wire and yank both torch and wire away from the plate... Yeah...No thank you.
Awesome job overall and I really want one

Is that the Craftsman lathe that you showed in your old shop?

HTR....👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🙇♀️🙇♀️🙇♀️🙇♀️🙇♀️🙇♀️🙇♀️🙇♀️ Watched part one, then part two. 😲That sir, was an hour well spent. I could watch you work, for, like, ever 😵. Underneath all that crud, was a machine built to last. Bloody fantastic job HTR.

Another satisfying video. What a brute of a machine. One big potential OSHA incident. No wonder people only lived into their 50's back in the day.
