Enjoy this succulent hammer drill from the 1950s.
I get them off Amazon Canada. They are very expensive.

Off topic question: We're restoring a 25pr. field gun here in Edmonton. It's been slathered in paint, red primer plus the regualtion green. I'm thinking it's likely lead based, but would like to know for sure. Where do you get your lead check pens? Home Despot has 'em, but they want an arm, two legs, and some rather more intimate bits...

I used the "black" compound from Princess Auto, as well as their basic 8in buffing wheel.

What kind of wheel and compound did you have on your bench grinder?

I think so. I can't seem to find much info on them.

It only uses proprietary spade drills?

Thanks for your work, mate. Always looks like a fun combination of cold-weather shop amusement and an archaeological dig. :) Stuff like the hand-cranked hammer drill is a nice reminder to us all about the benefits of technological development. Much easier to let the motor do it. But it's VERY cool to see how some ingenious Englishman found a good-enough fix in the 1930's.

That must feel fun against the shoulder while in use! Thank you for another great video!

Well, TBH, I'm almost 60. I expect to retire and still be working on it. Cheers. Check out the Photo I put on the FB page. Found 2 US made "King Dick" style wrenches for $10 at a barn sale. Now just waiting for yours to fill the collection.
