Progress Report

Howdy! Here’s what’s up:

I’ve channelled my inner vegetable, and by utilizing the power of photosynthesis I’ve gained an immense amount of energy from the sun. My skin is as red as the Soviet Union and I passively spread communism with every breath I take (not that I need breathing, mind you). 

On top of that, I no longer require neither food nor sleep, for I am truly a missing link in human evolution, a higher being destined to create hentai. 

Both me and Moana are going to utilize our newly found powers and work 24/7 to make up for the lost time and release 0.4.8 as soon as possible. Like I’ve said before our departure - it still requires “polish” (missing art, missing dialogue, bugs and etc.), and that is what we’re currently doing. 

On top of various adjustments to hundreds of pictures present in our new H-events, I’m continuing with the artwork for our new characters. Since friday I edited around 50 of them, mainly the winners of our outfits and tattoo polls (for all breast/hip sizes and poses), added two more “random” interactions with the npcs, added more dialogue to our “Buttercup” character and drawn her:

Her name is “Buttercup” and she’s important, in a sense that she has a lot of both H and Story related dialogue. 

Just like our “Mother” character, she has a “layered” artwork and exists in three states simultaneously (normal, lactating or pregnant - based on your choices and preferences in the game). 

She’s one of the reasons why I decided against uploading 0.4.8 last month, because she had a solid chunk of dialogue and no artwork whatsoever. There’s still some characters that I’d like to draw (just the “important” ones), there’s still plenty of bugs and the location still feels empty. But I can see the light at the end of the tunnel (not related to my new photosynthesis power).

Most of the content present in 0.4.8 is tied directly to in-game days, adding stuff later on is less than ideal, since you’ll have to replay the game to see it and it might corrupt savefiles for everyone. I wrote our new quest from top to bottom for this reason (this update will have the first part), and for the same reason I want to add more interactions to characters like “Buttercup” (and draw the artwork for them). 

I realize that “adding content later on” is unavoidable, I just want to finish “important” characters and interactions. In the past, I wasn’t really looking forward and planning our future content additions thoroughly - that is why right now most of our events are still not layered, it would’ve been a lot easier if we did it from the beginning, and I don’t want to repeat that mistake. 

In other words, I really don’t want to add even more stuff to our bottomless “to-do list”.

Everywhere I go, I get comments like, “you’re painful to look at”, so the results of my vegetable transformation and ascension are indisputably positive, I fully intend to use this power to my advantage and release the game as soon as humanly and vegetably possible. 

We have a date in mind, but I’m not going to say it, since I don’t want to disappoint you all again, however I can promise that, unlike my time-management skills, the update itself won’t  let you down .
