After Edward helped Keith assemble the computer, he handed a laptop to Mike. This laptop was bought by him 3 years ago. It's a bit old, but it's enough for Mike to write novels.
"Edward Sir, I don't need a high-spec computer for writing novels. This laptop is sufficient. And I only need it to write chapters for my novels."
Mike took the laptop and said with a smile, "Besides, having a too high configuration laptop is not good, it may distract me. And I might join Keith in games."
He genuinely enjoys writing novels, but ultimately, he is just a 17-year-old kid. After the computer is set up with high specifications, there will inevitably be temptations to try playing games. Being lazy and playing games, it's either the first time or countless times.
Once you start, without a strong will, it's impossible to quit. Edward did not expect that Mike could be so clear-headed. It seems like his worries about him were unnecessary.
After Edward helped both Keith and Mike adjust their set up, he called them to the living room.
"Keith, you have excellent gaming talent. Mike, your novels are very well-written. I hope that you won't waste your talents and work hard."
Keith and Mike both nodded earnestly. The homeroom teacher who respects their personal interests and hobbies so much, how could they not cherish them well?
"By the way, do any of you know Jamie well?" Edward asked before leaving.
Keith shook his head and said, "Edward Sir, Jamie is a reserved person. He usually doesn't interact much with other students. He rarely talks with me or other students in the class."
Mike also shook his head, "Edward Sir, I haven't really talked to Jamie. But my deskmate, Andrew, who used to be in the same junior school as him knew him quite well, and they were even in the same class."
"I heard him say that he got in by buying his way in Horizon, but Jamie got into Horizon High School with the highest score in his previous school. It's just that it seems something happened at his home later, and his grades are not as good as before."
Edward frowned slightly. From what Mike said, Jamie's grades used to be very good. It seems necessary to find out more from Andrew.
He made up his mind and said to Keith and Mike, "You guys should familiarize yourselves with the environment here in the morning. Keith, start pushing your rank, Mike, make sure you have enough drafts to publish. I will come to pick you up for lunch at noon."
After speaking, Edward left R.S. Building Society and returned to the school. After he left, Keith and Mike looked at each other.
"It feels like a dream. I really don't have to go to class."
Keith reached out and pinched his chubby cheeks.
"Ouch."
It's real. Not a dream. Although after pinching himself he was in pain, Keith grinned foolishly. He really doesn't like studying and can't focus on any class. But as soon as he starts playing games, he can concentrate with full focus.
Before, he only dared to play games sneakily. Now, he can openly play games. How can he not be excited?
"Keith, we must not disappoint Edward Sir."
Mike said firmly to Keith. The two of them, given the privilege of not attending classes by Edward, naturally had a sense of respect toward Edward. Both of them were shutted by their parents for following their hobbies but Edward respects their hobbies and gives them a chance to prove themselves.
Listening to Mike, Keith nodded seriously, "Yes. I will definitely not disappoint Edward Sir. Mike, you are already making money, you are really amazing."
Keith said enviously. His pocket money is usually all spent on playing games. Skins in League of Legends, PUBG, Clash Of Clans…
He plays all kinds of games, without saving a single penny.
Mike smiled and said, "Keith, you don't need to envy me. When you join a professional esports team in the future, you'll make money quickly too. Let's work hard together."
…..
After Edward entered the school, he walked straight to Harry's office. Now the students of class 9 of grade 11 were already in class, he didn't go to find Andrew. He planned to first ask Dean Harry if he knew anything about Jamie.
"Knock, knock, knock!" Edward knocked on the door.
"Please come in." Harry said from inside the office.
"Dean Harry." Edward said as he opened the door of the office to enter.
"Oh? Edward Sir? Come, have a seat." When Harry in the office saw Edward, he warmly welcomed him.
Before the morning session ended, he went to the class 9 of grade 11 but didn't find Edward. But the sound of studying students in class 9 still startled him.
It was impossible to believe. The students of class 9 of grade 11 are actually actively studying without supervision. It's like a miracle.
Looking at Edward again, Harry felt more and more pleased with the young man in front of him
"Edward Sir, your idea of running before the morning session is excellent."
He praised with a smile, "The enthusiasm of those kids in class 9 has indeed been increased."
Harry didn't know that the enthusiasm of class 9 was not aroused by running but because these students had the motivation to study.
Edward smiled slightly and said, "Dean Harry, I plan to take them for a run every morning from now on, and then have a morning session."
"Of course. I've said it before, Edward Sir, you can do as you please to maintain class 9."
Harry nodded, smiling, and said, "Is there something you need my help with by coming to see me now?"
Edward nodded and explained, "Dean, do you know about Jamie in my class?"
"Jamie?"
Harry furrowed his brows for a moment, then suddenly his eyes lit up.
"Is Edward Sir referring to that kid who was once in the class 1 of grade 10?"
There were 45 students in Class 9 of Grade 11, with a total of 19 classes in Grade 11 and over a thousand students.
As the grade Dean, Harry couldn't possibly know every student well.
But the name Jamie did ring a bell for him. After a moment of thought, he vaguely remembered there was a student by that name. When Edward heard Harry's words, his eyebrows raised.
Wow. That kid from class 1? So, Jamie used to be a student in class 1? Could it be true?
A student from class 1, a top-notch student with great potential, how could he end up in Class 9? He was both extremely surprised and curious.
"He used to be in class 1?"
Edward asked with a puzzled expression.
Harry recalled for a while, nodded, and said, "I do have some impression of this child. He was indeed in the class 1 of Grade 10. But his grades plummeted suddenly in the second semester of Grade 10. Later in Grade 11, he was transferred to Class 9."
Harry shook his head regretfully.
"Edward Sir, it's quite common for students to excel in junior school and then decline significantly in high school. So, I only have some impression of this student, Jamie."
