We normally don't do famous youtubers or Hunger Games actors for this, but with a face like that, who's going to say no to Sonar? Enjoy!

The lab of SDN's Torrance Branch had spent the past year being the unofficial home to the Mecha Man suit, and now there was a glaringly large vacancy. Robert Robertson, Victor's kind of boss, kind of friend, kind of mentor, and now kind of fellow superhero, had once again overruled his suggestion of using the space for a data-mining center for the Z-Team's very own crypto currency and instead used it for his own personal pet project. Sure, finding a huge chunk of the magical red rock that made his other kind of boss Mandy into Blonde Blazer was a big deal, and it had lots of weird magical properties to study and explore, Victor got that. But when you have a Harvard graduate on the team, why not use them for any weird, possibly power-enhancing experiments?
The fact was, after Z-Team's close brush with Shroud's Red Ring, Victor had been looking for anything that could give him an edge when he was out as Sonar— and if that red rock could take someone as old as Chase and give a whole new lease on life, well. What could it do for struggling mutants, like him? So, maybe he could just take a chunk of the gem and borrow it— he was pretty sure he heard Robert mention something about needing more variables for his experiments on the rock anyways, so why not bat mutants? It was a viable field of study, where Victor was concerned.
He was already halfway down the hall when he heard Robert start to raise his voice.
"What the fuck? We're missing almost two pounds of the blazer gem! Are you telling me we really have nothing on the cameras?"
Blonde Blazer sighed. "I mean, that's not really it's name— anyways, it almost had to be an inside job. Someone managed to turn off the cameras without tripping any of our alarms or failsafes. We need to go after everyone that's scanned their cards coming down here."
"One problem, that's almost everyone on Z-Team. They were making bets again about if we were going to blow ourselves up, open a portal to a fantasy world, you know," Robert sighed, running his hand over his head. "I keep telling these guys they need to be better than this…"
Victor let out a nonchalant whistle as he turned the corner, thumbing the red stone tucked away in his jacket. "Sorry Bobert, I'll give it right back… but I'm starting to think red might be a good color for me."
