Splinter Weight Gain

Splinter had never been in the throes of such a wild, gluttonous hunger like he was in right now. His grubby claws scraped at a huge wheel of cheese he had snatched from a deli above the Turtles' lair, grabbing a huge chunk of cheddar he shoved into his greedy maw. There was a part of him yelling that he should stop, that he had to stop, but a much louder, more primal voice was screaming for MORE.

The mutated rat huffed between bites, gulping down hard before he rolled onto his swollen gut, desperate to reach more. His quarters were crowded with empty pizza boxes, wrappers, and to-go bags, small mountains of the trash a testament to the immense binge he had gorged himself on. It looked as if the formally spartan and clean space had been turned into a fast food dumping ground. Mikey and Leo had been run ragged on his requested food runs, and deep down, he did feel bad about that. What was happening to him? His nearly reflexive instinct to just keep eating finally slowed down as he finished off the cheese wheel and spotted a piece of pizza that had almost escaped his grasp, and with that, he had a moment to reflect.

What the Hell happened? Splinter grunted as he sat up- or tried to, anyways. He puffed his round cheeks and with a huge grunt of effort, rocked himself up, his swollen, overly full gut spilling over his bloated thighs and then his knees- any larger, it might just reach his toes. Every part of his body was bloated, from his fat-laden arms and pillowy chest to his inflated rear and rounded hips. The most confounding thing of all, this had all begun two days ago. In about forty eight hours, the rat had more than quadrupled in size, all thanks to a constant, never-ending binge. He hadn't even slept. The worst part is, Splinter felt almost nothing- not tired, not uncomfortable, not restless- he was only hungry.

He shifted his weight, summoning all his energy to pull himself up to standing- it took all his heroic strength and willpower to get up on his feet, the rat wheezing as he felt the gigantic weight he had piled onto his frame, his boulder of a belly boasting a circumference wider than he was tall. Splinter tried to remain calm and focus- he had two goals in mind. First, find out what happened to him. It had to be something out of the ordinary. Second, lose weight- he had trained in martial arts for years, he was a wise and disciplined master. He could lose weight.

There was a knock on his door. "Uh… Master Splinter?" It was Donatello.

"Yes, my son?" Splinter replied, cradling his gut- instinctively he tried sucking it in, but that was the ultimate exercise in futility. "Don't- don't come in, I'm… in the middle of meditations." He leaned his full weight against the door, just in case- he was reasonably certain that he could serve as an effective barrier at this weight.

"Right, no worries, I just wanted to warn you, I had something in the fridge… I don't see it in there anymore. It was a little plastic tub, had my name on it with 'Do not touch'?"

Splinter's ears flattened. He had seen that tub. He had thought it was a rare type of cheese. He very rarely snatched food from the fridge, but surely one time couldn't hurt. Apparently, it could and did. "I do not recall…"

"Oh, well, sorry to bother you, then. It disappeared, and I was afraid Mikey got a hold of it… but I'd know it if he did."

Splinter's eyes went wide. "Why do you say that?"

"Oh, nothing, don't worry about it Master- it's just this protein supplement I thought would help us out, but it makes you gain weight like crazy. Anyways, I'll let you get back to your meditation."

Splinter cursed in Japanese under his breath. Well, there it was. All that could be done now was a rigorous diet and exercise plan to lose this weight…

"Oh, Master Splinter, Mikey and Leo are back… they got those cheesecakes you wanted?"

"Yes! Bring them in right away, I'm starving."
