Terry is trying everything, but donuts rank really high on his list! Enjoy everyone, and we'll see how much Terry's horizons are widened.
*************
Terry had spent so much of his life following his brothers' lead, now that he had a taste of freedom, he was starting to worry that he might be overdoing it. He had always had a sweet tooth, one that had been very, very carefully regulated by Barry's exercise and diet regimen. Now, with a lucrative gig under his increasingly tight belt and cash to spare, he had been indulging. He gave some half-hearted excuse of becoming a chef, but in truth, he just wanted to try as many different sweets as he could- of course, after so much rich, decadent pastries, cakes, and ice cream, he had to balance it out with something savory, which usually meant protein-heavy meals of fish, and then right back to the desserts.
His favorite, by far, was the Fat Cat Bakery, located near the city center. It was a bit of a trek from Jungle Town, but it was worth it. Everything was made with predators- feline predators, in particular- in mind. There were rumors of catnip in some of the pastries, but no, Terry would recognize if he had a problem. A dozen donuts for a snack was perfectly normal- he had always been the biggest of his brothers, and tigers needed lots of fuel to get through the day. Though that fuel was going into an increasingly large tank- he had lost a lot of his sleek dancer's build, and despite a flirtation with weight-lifting that kept his chest firm and his arms muscular, his largest shirts weren't able to quite slip over the smooth, solid dome filling his lap. It visibly bounced with each step he took, and his pants were faring even worse, wrapped tightly around thickened legs and a wider rear.
Terry's smile dimmed when he finished his donuts and took a long look at himself, jostling his belly in his hands, and cringing at just how much of it there was. He had let himself go, that much was evident. Maybe he needed a change of scenery to get his head on straight- he still had time to explore and figure himself out. His family wasn't from Zootopia, originally, and had come over from a far-off, exotic country. Maybe what he really needed to get back in touch with his roots? If it meant putting an entire continent between him and Fat Cat Bakery, it might even be for the best.
