Mr. Azik is definitely Madara... He ended up there without any memory of what happened to him and that skeleton is his incomplete Susanoo. Klein is probably gonna try to transmigrate to Konoha and just tell Obito "Yo'! Come get your friend, please!"

Capihood

I've read the novel twice, and I don’t really enjoy anime in my native language either. But I just want to say, hang in there—it’s all worth it .This skeleton is even more massive than I imagined when reading the novel.

Thanks! I think my main confusing is around the Grey Fog itself lol. Which might be a spoiler at the moment. But I completely understand the Divination aspect and how he was able to witness those things. It's the grey fog thats making me mad hahah

W R A I T H not W R A T H. A Wraith is a ghost. Wrath is being enraged.

Jamin Coachman

It is a great adaptation, considering the novel is 1400+ chapters for just the first one. Its the later arcs I'm worried about. and lets just ignore the sequel novel.

PEAK!! the animation alone is enough reason for someone to pick up the show and watch it lol.. I'm interested to know if anyone picked up the manga because of the show so far

deranged but not really

I think i will explain grey fog powers and divination a bit seems you seem to be confused about them a bit. i will try my best to mention anime scenes so you can see how it built out 1) So divination is basically info gathering . We see this through out the 6 episodes. few of the Beyonder pathway's have this capability, not just seer. we see Hanass Vincent doing this with the first divination club episode. but as a seer this is Klein's main focus which means seers have better capability of divination than other pathways. 2) counterpoint to this is Beyonders and mystical objects also have the ability to shield them selves from divination. This is referred to as interference in-universe . we see this happen in that scene where Klein tries to do rod-divination to find Ray Bieber and rod just go around room until Dun catches it . We also see it mentioned when Tris suddenly disappears from divination due to tris becoming trissy. 3)Grey fog has the ability to reduce this interference if Klein does the divination while he is above the fog. We see Klein mention it before he start divination on the sun emblem. This power allows Klein as a seer to pierce through interference and see how the emblem was created something that other people of Evernight church couldn't have done in the past due to interference from the emblem. 4)The entire scene after that is of divination . Even when Klein touches the golden blood it represents Klein divining on that drop of blood and it points directly onto Eternal Blazing Sun . Any one else will be dead at this point but fog protects him. But since Klein is still divining he manage to get some info on the object of his divination, blood of eternal blazing sun. which is what see after, the potion recipes, white angle etc, I understand the anime makers decision on moving events around and compacting things when we move to visual medium, but there really should have been more explanation on the power system. unlike something like Solo Levelling where we know how RPG's work LOTM power system need more expositions.

Episode 6 is probably the best episode yet. They did a great job at this episode. There are obviously some issues with some pacing but this donghua is still great. Animation is top notch. But I really LOVE the OST. It enhances the experience so much.

Bun

even though I don't understand half of the show, I love the lore and it one of the best visual anime I ever watched

Silent Night

So, when you look at mythical figures such as the Eternal Blazing Sun, you get some information mostly regarding the figure's pathway. Klein directly looked at ETS and gained the potion formulas for some sequences, and also learned how to create a sun charm. Of course, this is only if you survive. Klein did only because of the fog, and if you are wondering when Dunn looked at the hanged giant, he only saw the representation of the True Creator and he saw it from the other parties dream, thats why he didn't like die immediately. He also learned Do not gaze at a deity. Also, as a novel reader, learning about all the secret organizations and deities is complicated at first. There is an Original Creator; everything comes from him, so most organizations use the OG creator to link their own deities to him. Btw I think the anime is great, they reorganized the order of the events so I think when the season ends many things will be clearer and not different from the novel.

Rip my first comment didn’t send 😭 hopefully I can remember what I said before. As a novel reader, I understand the frustrations a lot of people have with how much content is glossed over and left out from the donghua. However in saying that, I absolutely love what the adaptation does show and how they do it- the animation is stunning, the voice acting is top tier, the music and environments feel hauntingly beautiful and eerie. I think that given only 13 episodes to adapt such a lore dense volume (volume 1 is 213 chapters and really sets everything in the story up so it does not hold back on the information dumping lol) the donghua is really doing the best it can with the limitations placed upon by the studio itself (having to rush to get the clown fight as per Tencent’s demands means that they had to somehow successfully cram 70+ chapters into only 3 episodes, which is insane to think about). Obviously, 24 episodes or more would have been ideal for this first season, but I’ve heard that the studio has given the green light for 5 seasons already, so hopefully the adaptation team is able to have more time to flesh out the story properly, like the novel author and donghua director originally wanted. Episode 6 is my favourite episode thus far- I love how they truly went all in for best boy Azik and his backstory (one of his backstories at least- poor guy has been through it rip) and showed more about his past than the novel did. The novel mainly implied about Azik’s past and didn’t really go into more detail, leaving it up to readers perspectives, but here the donghua gave us so much more lovely tidbits that definitely made this episode more emotional for me than it did in the novel. Azik is such an interesting and tragic character and to see the respect the adaption team gave to him is beyond amazing and makes me super excited for the future episodes with how they nailed those emotional notes. It’s also insane to think about how once a Beyonder reaches a high enough Sequence, they are effectively immortal and/or so hard to kill that they can live for thousands of years. Klein did really well securing himself such a powerful and goated ally, especially one as sweet as Azik. The English Dub for this series is also peak- the direction they took absolutely nailed it imo. The dub definitely makes it easier to follow along the story, especially if you aren’t used to Mandarin and having to pause and rewind to catch all the information given. If you do a rewatch for this series in the Eng Dub like you did with DanDaDan, please post your reactions! Again, the dub is amazing and I’d love to see and hear your thoughts on it, and if it helps expand upon parts of the story a bit more clearly. That being said, there is a slight spoiler in the dub for the opening part talking about the Sequences and Beyonders- it’s nothing major but if you want to be completely spoiler free I’d recommend skipping ahead of that segment for the time being as it’s not something you’re supposed to know about until volume 2/season 2. I was surprised that the dub translation team chose to include it, and maybe it might be adjusted in the future to take that line out as again, while it’s not a massive spoiler and it won’t give away a whole lot of the story, it’s still something that is notably not included in volume 1 for a reason. I’m glad you’re still enjoying this series and giving it the love it deserves. Praise the Fool and praise Flexie!

Did Igris cross over into LOTM? haha

As a webnovel reader i mentioned before that indeed I miss things from the novel. But !! changing my perpective and seeing the donghua as a seperate entity I love every delivered scene and the gorgeous visual and score-vise execution make me really happy. This episode was my favorite so far and i confess the reminisence scene from Azik Eggers made me cry. Beautiful displayed scene what a cursed endless life can entail. Also i watched the english dub of the first two episodes and i can say that it is one of the best dubs i have heard. The british-like accent of the characters in Loen and the french accent of Gustav Rossell from Intis is really great. Also in comparison to the subtitles of the chinese version, the flow of information is much better to follow. As i didn't have to read the subtitles I also could catch more things in the visuals as the feather luring the kidnapped boy in episode 2. Also the spoken english gave more situational Information than the subtitles. Only thing irritating was that i first overlooked the need to activate the subtitles on crunchyroll as they contained the translation of the chinese letters in the episodes. As the speaking flows natually a little bit slower, the epsiode itself feel quite a bit less fast paced as the chinese one. I am looking forward for the japanese and german dub to see how they deliver and change the feeling of this dongua, because watching it in chinese and then in English give two completey different vibes. And as always, great reaction.

This episode were one of my favorite thus far! So, so, so beautiful and stunning. Made me emotional several times!

Praise the Sun! (Its a Dark Souls reference - even if it wasn't on purpose by the writer)

Yes the names of the Gods and their relationship can be confusing at the beginning since we don't know anything yet. The way I can tell them apart is the creation myth from Klein and Dunn's conversation from eps 2 is well known accepted by everyone living in this world, so all the organization want the entity they worship has tides with the creator (original) so that's why they try to claim they inherent or successor of the creator to make them more legit than others. So regardless what anyone of them profess or say, they aren't the (original) creator, so just treat them as their own entity. Edit: LOL finally finished watching your reaction. You pick up all the things you need to pick up, of course there is a lot of things in play right now, the world is still slowly revealing itself to us as the viewers right now. Just don't be overly anxious in trying to figure everything out since we still have a lot of information missing. I know there is a lot of set up right now and questions, but it will have ramification later on through out the novel, so a lot questions will not be answer either by the end of this season. As I said before, we are still in the starting village if we are playing rpg game. The pay off will be very rewarding for those that stick with it, so just enjoy the moment, I do wish I can turn back time and re discover the story like the first time. Another note, I am glad they did Azik's introduction about as well as they could under the circumstance, they have to structure the story this way and this is the strength of the visual medium compare to the written, yes my imagination can fill in the scene and gap, but this team surpass what I thought was possible here. Almost every scene is wallpaper worthy. 2nd edit: When you question why Azik has the same name throughout time, it will be important way down the line but you won't get an answer to that in a long while, so don't need worry about it, but if you want to hold on to a clue, just remember his last name will do. As for Leonard's shadow, you will have a wait a good while to get an answer to that, let's just say that there is a reason why he thinks of himself that way and anyone that read any Chinese cultivation novel would have figure it out already, is a trope use quite often in those stories.

I think that intermission lore ,where it talks about the epochs is from the perspective of the nighthawks. Since, it never talks about the true creator or the primordial demoness.

GrimPanther54

You're a goat for this - thank you lol

Jessica McCann

I think the fog is Klein's power and it is at least close to godlike. Afterall, he can be targeted by a 3 titled prayer. If he wasn't the ruler of the fog then he wouldn't be targeted, at least I think. As for the Angel of Pure White and the Sun sequence, I think it was a reward from the Sun God for surviving the smiting. Question is only how he can use it as you have to ascend the pathways in sequential order, otherwise Leonard should also be a Nightmare. But with the fog and the late Emperor's words stating the Seer pathway as a better option, who knows what Klein is fully capable of. He managed to divinate a god. I'm not sure what exactly this season is building towards but I bet a major reveal of not just the fog but also the Seer is in store at the end. And Klein is only sequence 9!
