2025-03-26 19:05:02 +0000 UTCFirst of, while writing this comment I did so with the knowledge that she most certainly has already seen the next episode because *usually* reaction channels record multiple episodes in advance. She said so herself in the past, at least sometimes. Secondly, I was talking about how the community views the upcoming story plottwists and how the next episode simultaneously is one of the best and worst anime episodes of all time. It's an insanely complex topic but objectively speaking it's the episode which ruined Death Note for many many people which is why they rewrote it multiple times (changing the entire story while doing so). Episode 25 is the moment the story of Death Note splits up into multiple parts and people can subjectively choose which path they prefer. If you think me stating public opinions is equalized to shitting on the episode...well, you do you. The episode in itself is fantastic, but come on, man...don't act like people didn't shit on mass on Death Notes second half. Recently the second half of Death Note has gotten a lot more positive feedback but even now there is a clear divide here within the community. Personally, I prefer the second half but that's my subjective opinion. Regarding the community the second half of Death Note is mostly seen as an immense downgrade and part of that starts with episode 25. I will write a comment over there soon because most issues with that episode are solely regarding Rem and most people actually do agree with this. Prove for that is a comment I wrote during past episodes about Rem (completely spoilerfree as long as you don't know upcoming events) which actually got a lot of likes & certain Youtube videos which got extremely positive feedback. To put it bluntly, the episode itself is insanely beloved, obviously. But people hate the impact it had on the whole show (yes, even up until this point). Now, if you take my "Light didn't win" comment as a buzz killer...well, Light didn't win. And the prove is within the next episode. Most people just overlook it but it's easily there once people start to think about certain stuff. That's just an objective statement but I won't go into it here because all of that is actually regarding episode 25.

2025-03-26 00:11:34 +0000 UTCDammit man why throw shade. A little tmi which wasn't really necessary captain buzz kill. I wouldn't be surprised if Flexi writes your name in her Death Note after reading that comment lol. Well you only have yourself to blame and you won't get to see the next episode not where you're going pal lmao.

2025-03-25 22:40:53 +0000 UTCLight exclaiming in this episode that he "won" is incorrect even if the anime presents him as "correct". He didn't win, he just got insanely lucky on multiple levels. For example, the police force being illogically incompetent and dismissive towards L's suggestions. If they would've agreed with L that they should at least try out the 13 day rule he would've been done for. L has surrounded himself with idiots and that is his biggest weakness. There also is prove within the next episode that Light actually was the one who lost here *but* we will get to that...I honestly can't wait for it.😅 So, next episode is considered peak by many people... I would argue that the writers themself realized that they made *big* mistakes with the next episode which is why they rewrote the events we are about to witness multiple times. And yes, the OG mangaka was involved in some rewrites even if many people pretend otherwise. To my knowledge there are 3 totally different official versions of episode 25 and following episodes...which isn't really a normal thing, especially for Shounen. People can choose which story they view as canon because...well, there isn't really a "canon" episode 25 anymore. It's a matter of preference. The presentation and the feelings are 10/10 but the logic of the events which are about to transpire is...5/10 at best which is part of the reason why Japan nowadays doesn't even remotely consider Death Note to be among the best manga/anime of all time. Episode 25...simultaneously one of the best and worst anime episodes of all time. It's part of the reason why Death Note is as popular as it is and it's also part of the reason why Death Note almost never shows up within top 100 anime/manga rankings in Japan.

2025-03-25 01:59:42 +0000 UTCFor me the real tragedy of this story is that if not for the death note falling into Light's hands on pure coincidence. He most likely been one of the best detectives, with a incredible sense of justice and a real care for helping people, as shown during his time as not Kira.

2025-03-24 23:20:55 +0000 UTCmisa has the unknown lifespan from that shinigami that died for her. She could have 200 years before the first deal and now 50 after the new deal. We dont know how big or small her llifespan was.

2025-03-24 16:23:58 +0000 UTCRem didn't lie for Light, in fact he didn't lie at all. The rules in the notebooks are indeed the same. Light knew Rem wouldn't lie, neither Rem nor Ryuk are on Light's side, remember =p Misa doesn't care about the eye deal halving her life-span, because she's a moron lol. She doesn't actually need to worry about it though, because when the other shinigami saved her life the rule is that the shinigami dies and his/her remaining lifespan gets transferred to the human he/she saved. Who knows, Misa could live to be thousands of years old lol

2025-03-24 15:21:34 +0000 UTCwhat an insane moment when everybody got to see Rem, that opens a whole new can of worms :) then Light getting his memories back, they really started us off with a bang :D seeing the way Light crafted this plan and how it comes to fruition felt epic :) ofc L misses nothing :) kinda funny how we are now just hanging out with Rem :D adding a fake rule is a brilliant idea, the supernatural is on his side :) poor Misa she just cant do that one thing Light always wants her to :P luckily for her she got all that extra life from Gelus :) now that Ryuk is back we got the whole gang back together :)
